4AM and 15 normal broadcast channels had this event on. Now Queen Elizabeth will some how die in the near future. Prince William's brother Harry will murder both Will and his maid. Then all of a sudden Prince Charles son will end up on the throne. I don't understand how this wedding got more coverage then ANYTHING ELSE WORLD WIDE. The magnitude they have broadcasted this event has made me go into a mode of I JUST DON'T GIVE A #.

Yeah they are. And they are not first cousins as is normal with the Royals, and what I thought basing it off of the usual. I suppose after Phillip and Charles, they decided it would be wise to branch out a little more so that Mental Illnesses in the Family would stop. (snicker) en.wikipedia.org...

Guys! It's just a wedding!! No need for so much hate and inbreeding theories and whatnot! Some people are just sharing the joy the royal couple are having right now... It's just a marriage! It was beautiful and everything went smoothly yesterday... What's wrong with that?

If you didn't really care about watching it or cared about it at all, fine by me... But to hate one someone else's wedding is just being stupid...

Did anyone watch leave it to beaver or bewitched instead of the wedding. I thought they said that millions and millions of peoples will be watching. I do not think so. I wonder if the tabloids got any goodie pics. I hope they post them so we all can see. You know, i wonder how many divorces were in the royals past. I do not recall any. hmmm, what happened to dianna, could you call that a divorce? Oh, i'm sorry, that was a SEPARATION so to speak.

It's protocol, the salute is a sign of respect, only those in the armed forces salute. The bowing of ones head is a way for someone who is not in the armed forces to show respect.

Mental illness, really. Well, that exsplains everything. I always thought that there was a connection between the adams family and the royals. I guess they took the Dye anna name litterally. Mental illness. I heard that jack the ripper was a royal in the family. Mental illness, this does exsplain alot.

Indeed. I was neither pro or anti monarchy prior to the event, but all the misery from people "who couldn't give a damn" got a bit too much. I think many people in UK were pleased to have a happy event to celebrate, and many did so as a family. I've seen it mentioned too, and I do kind of agree, that the event was an opportunity to display some pride in being British.

I guess ATS is probably not the best forum to discuss these kind of events seeing as here people only get really excited when terror or disaster strikes.

I don't really care for it... but with almost every channel reporting it, I can't help notice how not one person "serving" the couple are smiling or enjoying "life". lol.. Sad really.

They put on a smile for photo ops..and are serious with their servants when not in the public eye.

Not for me. Just another diversion from other real world events which require more attention.....

I wasn't going to bother replying to anymore hate filled threads but this is so true and made me smile, everyone on ATS seem more interested in the world getting blown up.

Odd thing, the bishop marrying them said to william, something about him being himself, followed by "...And you will set the world on fire."

That sure gave me the willies, but i'm sure it's innocent. Hope they have a happy marriage.

Ahhh yes an excellent repose, well thought out, constructed and delivered. Why hadn't i think if that one.

So what it comes down to is if you all really don't car about it. you wouldn't be making so much noise decrying it, trying to find things wrong with it and wanting other people to stop caring about it.

As they say misery loves company. And you just can't bear to see people happy for once.

I think its time to back away from the computer, and get some fresh air. You're all getting to the point where you can't function properly if the walls aren't crashing in around you.

Take a break for once. and enjoy these little slices of happiness, just for a moment, and don't worry the disasters, and suffering to commence once more very soon!
