Brazilian news channel reports that a new insect has been discovered in the Amazon rain forest. When the inset bites people or other animals, it increases strength and competitiveness of the object that was bitten.

Watch the video, and also visit this guy's blog who discovered and is researching the insect. All I have to say is... what the #?!
The insect/reptile/thing that's shown in the video is so strange, it almost looks computer animated. Also watch at 2:17 when the guy catapults himself into the forest. That too does not look real to me.
I know the source is a bit obscure and I'll admit aside from reading Hoolavez's blog I haven't done any more research. I was just so dumbfounded I had to share!
If this thing is real it almost seems symbolic. The shape of its bite is strange, but I can't pinpoint its significance.
I have just got to know what you guys think of this.

Seemed like a fake, funny video. I found it quite funny: "These young guys are wimps. I'll fruit fight any of them." Pretty funny.

I was taking it seriously and getting interested til that guy was catapulted into the forest, very good laugh at that, thank you!
