Oh yeah, that's right; nobody cares because he's not the first black president.
Sure, you could pull it up, but who would take the time? That's not exciting at all. Totally boring. As a matter of fact, why don't we just pull up every president's birth certificate and discuss their fraudulence endlessly in repeat threads on ATS? That wouldn't be any fun would it? They're all so white.

You who question Obama's nationality... you can't even see your own predictably and reliably stupid racism. It must be subconscious for you, cause it's obvious to me.

FTR, I don't agree with anything in particular including Obama.

He has a Texas accent.
He's the son of a former President.
He has dozens of family members who can back it up where he was born.
He served in the U.S Army (Airforce?)

Those alone are enough for no one to pressure him.

I really do not see these guys as racist.

Not even in their subconscious.

It's more like they see their Country being fundamentally changed.

That's not a race issue. That's a everybody issue.

I do however respect your opinion. Do you have any examples?

Why 3 years? Why all the money he spent to not show it? Too many questions for a easy fix.
Anyway... We do have bigger things to worry about and he is not the first Houdini in office.. So what's the next step?
Please tell me..

I think you make a good point. This is the first time in history this has occured. Now if the president were of any notable national difference I believe he would still be put through this. If he were middle eastern, chinese or any other hertitage then white this would still happen.
I have thought about this what even brought this up in the first place. Even if he was born somewhere else besides the USA he would still be considered a natural US citzen from birth if his mother was a citzen at the time.(which she was).

I would pressure him on that fake Texas accent. I'm from Texas, and his accent is hardly Texan. He wasn't even born here in Texas. I can't stand when other people associate Bush with Texas. It's embarassing quite frankly.

/end rant.

Sorry, had to get that little itch scratched.

....also, I don't think he actually served in any service. (could be wrong)

He served in the Texas Air National Guard. And the OP's argument is bunk anyway; if you don't agree you're obviously a racist.

ETA: I use the term 'served' loosely.

I am no birther (i did question his birthplace very briefly though), but I am quite tired of seeing the argument from my side of the fence talking about racism. It is not because he is black (hes actually mixed). It is because of his father and where his father was born. If there was any question as to where Bush was born due to his parents not being natural born citizens, or if there were holes in his history, THEN there would be reason to question. Truth is Obama is the first black president, and coincidentally he is also the first president that it would even make any for of sense to question his background (not because of race, because aforementioned reasons).

Quite honestly I am just sick of the racism card. The people who usually call people racists are also the people who acknowledge the difference between race, and use the card when it fits their agenda for discrediting someone. Once the difference is acknowledged, it is all racism from there.

He "served" in the Air National Guard I believe. He was a pilot, from what I have seen/read. However, he "served" in the sense of showing up a few times for photo ops, etc. I don't believe he was deployed for real situations. But, he donned the green flight suite, which is why the movie INDPENDENCE DAY was so well-funded: it showcases a young, handsome President who was formerly a pilot; and, in the climax, the President dons his green flight suit and leads the attack in a jet fighter. In the back of people's minds from that point on, there was an image of a heroic young President wearing a green flight suit. ANYway...

Yeah, he served, but there was controversy and an uproar because (like some claim about President Obama) many people simply didn't REMEMBER HIM BEING A PART OF THE UNIT. And, of course, when he was there, there were rumors that he had done coc aine.

Who knows?

You are correct, and I personally believe this whole thing is a huge distraction. I also wish to play devils advocate and say that none of us would need to be natural born citizens for the positions we hold....

I also want to point out that say somehow Arnold Schwarzenegger became president without the info of his birthplace being brought about, the same things would occur as with Obama.

the person birthplace only comes into question for the presidency that is the only job in this country

it came about because at the time of the writing of the us constitution america still had a distrust of england.

there are many congressonial leaders that hold dual citizenship.

arnold could never be president do to that clause.
