Perhaps if I were saying that no one should question his birth certificate because he's such a good President, I could understand your point. But I'm saying he's doing evil, so let's stop talking about how he could possibly do evil or have some intangibly evil aspect, and start talking about the real, practical realities of his policies and actions.

Now, let me ask you something. Which sounds more like misdirection to you? "Focus on his actual deeds" or "Keep giving the media more fuel to ignore his actual deeds"?

Do you honestly think that the media give a damn about what you or I think. They are constantly using distraction technqieus by giving something a lot of air time, and they do that because it suits their agenda.

It has nothing to do with what is being said on forums.

Focus on his actual deeds is, of course, essential. That's why this is just one of many deeds which is being scrutinised by the public - and rightly so. EVERYTHING that they say needs to be scrutinised and checked and double checked, because they are all known manipulators, liars and frauds.

I have no idea if you are a disinfo agent - I'm simply using the same tactic as you use in your OP. You don't seem to like it.

As for whether I like it -- on the contrary, I'm enjoying it. It's a good way of highlighting the underlying questions and working out whether a claim is suspicious. You're giving me a chance to evaluate my own claim as if from a distance, and see what I'd make of it if I weren't making it.

I just think in this case, when you play out the hypothetical that a disinfo agent is saying what I'm saying, it's impossible to see why one would, how it would benefit them. For me, that would mean the person (in this case me myself), if wrong, was just wrong, not working in service of propaganda.

What's wrong? Nobody wants to explain how it's perfectly innocent that Trump has given more money to more top-shelf Democrats than anybody else he's donated to? How this whole thing is definitely not just a ploy to keep you distracted, which means you are playing directly into their plans? Come on, you've got to have something. Surely this can be easily done away with?
