No, they did not. They declared themselves "US Citizens", not "Natural Born citizens".

The Constitution states that only those alive at the time of the signing are the only "US citizens" that can become president, it then states that all others must be "natural born citizens".

The Founding Fathers proclaimed that they (British born) were not Natural Born. They defined Natural born, by dis-including themselves.

As I stated earlier...

Just because you can list a whole bunch of people who have gotten away with something, does not make it legal.

It's neither legal or illegal, the point is to show the joke of the birther movement in that they will conveniently not mention precedents that mess up their argument.... hmmm, when the precedents were all white from European stock, surely that must be a coincidence for most.

One more birther claim dead so please hurry along to the next one.

I didn’t say it was. The point is that it’s your burden to show that you’d lose your natural born citizenship status by having dual citizenship by virtue of automatic operation of foreign law on birth.

The US jurisprudence to support your case is non-existent.

I don't want to hear ANY argument that brings up case law
Yeah I would be unhappy if all the facts were against my bunk theory too.

or laws pertaining only to citizenship, they are invalid as it pertains to the argument on the ability to constitutionally be POTUS!!!!!!
Can you tell us what are the laws pertaining to natural born citizenship? You dismiss US Supreme Court case law and the 14th Amendment. Please tell us what are the laws pertaining to natural born citizenship.

Obama ran a campaign against some of the fierciest opponents, Hillary and McCain, who have a long history in Washington. If they couldn't prove with all their money that Obama wasn't a natural born citizen, I just fail to see how anybody else can.

Just my 2 cents.

US CITIZENSHIP HAS NOTHING to do with it....

BEing a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN is the requirement, not being a citizen....

The founding fathers were absolutely clear that being a natural born citizen was more stringent than being a citizen, I don't want to hear ANY argument that brings up case law or laws pertaining only to citizenship, they are invalid as it pertains to the argument on the ability to constitutionally be POTUS!!!!!!

Jaden

Sure, Jaden, why don't you cite some relevant US law or case law that pertains to "Natural Born Citizens" as you define them. I don't think you will, since no judge or congress has defined it that way. Keep dreaming, birthtard.

Obama only made things worse for himself by hiding it away.
Mccain showed his BC immediately when asked.

Obama calls this issue "distracting" and "silly" but he spent $2,500,000 to hide it. I'd say that's pretty serious money to spend on an issue. Unless you are Bill Gates who makes a cool million every time he farts.

Yeah, when you consider that South Africa is full of White people who come from there. So White people can be African too.

African is not even a race.

There is no dead claim here...fail on your part.

Again, just because a lot of people did something does not make it legal.

eh, I'm still skeptical of its authenticity. It took WAY too long to surface, and the government would NEVER let the public know if someone side-stepped the rules.

Oh dear..and this is from the actual Whitehouse website too..I don't know what i find more worrying tbh, a fraud in the job, or a fraud that produces an obviously fake Live Birth Certificate and thinks it will be convincing...!
Too bad that it’s exactly what was used in the Nordyke sisters’ original birth certificate. You know, the one the birthers told us was legitimate and what Obama’s long form should look like.

Another bither non-issue debunked by their own actions and words. You people are laughable.

You all are clueless, first of all it matters not where he was born the rules and regulations for eligibility for the office of president of the US, clearly states that both parents must be US Citizens period

No, it states you must be a natural born citizen.

This means, you have to be a citizen at birth.

So, you could either be born elsewhere, but to two American citizens (like McCain) or you could be born on American soil (like Obama).

Either way, it satisfies the Constitutional requirement.

exactly African is not a race, and its not a term thats used in birth certificates under race either.........

that alone is a dead giveaway.........

I dont buy into the birther thing, but why release something thats clearly a forgery? I just dont understand the end game in that

I haven't run for any public office that requires me to show a BC.

So, you can just go ahead an eat your hyperbole with a side of foot in mouth.

Your heart is in the right place, but how can you explain this-

Andrew Jackson, both parents Irish immigrants.
Thomas Jefferson, English mother.
James Buchanan, Irish father.
Chester Arthur, Irish father.
Woodrow Wilson, English mother.
Herbert Hoover, Canadian mother.

BO, Kenyan father.

Anyways, the BC they released today is bogus as Hell, Jaden, they are hiding something...

Watch this if you haven't already-

You could post a video of Obama being born with Ukelele playing girls dancing the hula in the background while in the hospital and the birthers would immediately say it's fake because the grass used in the grass skirts wasn't the right variety.

This issue is dead.

Give it a rest.

The media is blinding you all with this whole so called birther thing, the rules of office are clear, this is what they do not want the general public to know about period. It’s called a duel alliance, father of one country mother of another, so the commitment of the child is compromised, end of story.

Considering McCain was born in panama and FDR in canada, does it even matter anymore what BHO is?

It seems the PTB pick presidential candidates with troubled histories so they can manipulate them at will. The president and congress do NOT run "the show" because the international corporate elite do. Even the italian mafia is more powerful that the USA government.

Give me a break people. Bread and circuses! Lots of people making a big deal out of this just because we have a democrat in office. If he was republican NO ONE would care ONE IOTA and not only that but they would actually be covering up for him/her.

Conservatives make me really sick!!!

It really is telling that this is what you are reduced to, to definitions of how things might have been centuries ago but have no nexus with existing US law.

The Bill of Rights was written centuries ago too.

Shall we just chalk it up to some old crap we can throw out now?

why don't you throw out your rights to freedom of speech too.....old crap written years ago right?

[[snip]].... so willing to throw away the constitution that protects you...just like German citizens of 1933

Why did he spend $2,500,000 (possibly in taxpayer dollars) to hide his past?

If it's so "silly" and "distracting from the issues" then why not just show his BC years ago?

Why hide away all school records?

That's true....no such thing as "African" race...

Of course, if you want to get technical, there's no such thing as "race".

I thought the term used in that time period would be "Negro"
