you're probably aware of the strange walking stick-alien footage from Fresno which was largely-dismissed as people on stilts with sheets over their heads. I thought the same until I saw this new video which has a frame of reference superimposed over it - a child's stroller. Now we see the "beings" are actually quite small - the smaller one being only the size of a human baby. (Sorry, I still haven't figured out how to embed a YouTube vid into a thread)

Personally, I feel they are fake. The tall one looks like it is having great difficulty in walking. However, I do find it very interesting to watch. Could the top halves of them been edited out to make it look more freaky?

The way they walk seems very awkward and mechanical to me.

I would suspect that this could be the work of some artist or hobbyist who likes to build his own automatons/robots/whatever you want to call it. It could be something as simple as a motorized pair of legs with some kind of sheet/wrapping around it that some bored person with an interest in engineering built to play jokes on people.

Here is a website that offers robotic legs, just dress them up in white pajama bottoms and viola..stick men.

Here is a link to the site. Watch the videos. So yes it is possible to have walking legs.

Great catch, but the problem I see after watching the robotic walking thing is that the feet do not swivel at all compared to the OP vid...

So it really is not a match.. But that doesn't mean that it couldn't be some other modified version of the same technology..

I'm from the Fresno area. I have seen the video before a few months ago on this site. Never heard anything from the local news about it though.

Add to that that the walking legs are wired... ( in the video from the link )

Was it noticed that the legs in the background stopped to look in the general direction of the camera?

The comparison to the stroller gives a new dimension to this video... It is spooky and mind boggling, when trying to understand what type of creature this might be, if real... it's spoooky!

In my opinion its a hoax, the video footage looks impressive at first but when it boils down to it the only thing thats remotely impressive is the clever use of software. If anything these 'aliens' look like ghosts - they have no obvious features which would suggest they are aliens anyway. I'm guessing the people that made this video just didn't have anything better to do apart from don a few white sheets, some wire or stilts and edit the camera footage to make everything seem real. The way they seemed to try and debunk what they recorded was interesting too. They coincidentally seem to have the right-sized objects to put on the road to make it look like what they were showing us was credible - they probably based their 'aliens' size from these.

They can't be robots as they have no power supply at all and there are no wires anywhere. Unless maybe it was the multimillion dollar robots created by Honda, but if you believe that to be possible you are quite mad.
I've watched the film multiple times closely and to me those 'legs' appear to be definitely weight bearing, though I agree the gait has marionette qualities, IMO, that's our minds attempting to fit this into a scenario that is a culturally acceptable solution.

I say it is a hoax because:
The movement is puppet like, head bobs up when the string is jerked, legs bend just like puppets.
I could make this exact video in a few minutes with a photo of the scenery and two puppets with black string. I would cut the trees in photo shop, layer the moving puppets behind the tree cuts and the full image behind the puppet film and use a filter that looks like night vision in the movie maker. I would end up with the same footage as in the video.
I believe that the fact or fake people are fake themselves and make up ridiculous debunking theories just to fill in the time the show is required to have.
If these were real aliens then we would have to show them how to make better clothing so they dont have to walk around in bed sheets.

Ok, jerkoff, lets see you make an exact replica of this video. Then come back and say how easily you could do it.

This is NOT A PUPPET. THERE ARE NO STRINGS. THERE ARE NO PEOPLE HOLDING A LITTLE REMOTE TO MAKE THEM WALK. THERE ARE NO FOOT TALL ROBOT LEGS WITH HEADS ON THEM. The little one has no sheet on it, unlike the taller one, proving that at the very list, the shorter one is legit 100%. This is not CGI, the movements are much to fluid to be a puppet or CGI, and they are much to short to be people on stilts or children, they are semi transparent because it has been super imposed onto the picture of the stroller. stop saying that its an easy fake that anyone can do IF YOU CANT RECREATE IT

I think the video is played back in reverse to add more strangeness.

C'mon.. they are obviously covered in FABRIC. It moves like fabric, and has a uniform color like fabric. Unless it's some mystic fabric alien, this is obviously bunk.

Reminds me of the stupid Ghost Hunters in a prison video - some guy in a sheet runs away, you can see his sneakers, and they proclaim it's a ghost. brother...

And here is a video of Runbot, to which you are referring. It moves with nothing like the grace and ease of the stick-creatures. www.ijrr.org...

That was my thinking as I said earlier in the thread.

I'd be really interested in seeing what it looked like when played back at normal speed but switched around to see if 'reverse' actually begins to look like it was the original direction.

I can't speak for the smaller one because of the size, but the bigger one looks kinda like someone using their arms to lift their legs and moving with an exaggerated side to side rotation...then just played in reverse. (which would mean they actually walked from right to left) They could have a black section in the white fabric to give the illusion that the legs are longer than they are.

Could possibly even use dark clothing to alter the perception of size on other areas...like the small one is at the far edge of the path, so creating an illusion to make it appear smaller would be much eaiser than the taller one.

I can't say for sure obviously unless someone is able to recreate it or confesses, but if it is a fake it would take a good bit of elaboration than just some simple "they did X...hoax" to debunk it.

They could have even had the taller one wearing some sort of black heels with white socks to create odd foot movements (especially if it was a kid and couldn't walk in them well) That bit is obviously a stretch, but with the way the video is, it's really hard to tell much at all, and the better the illusionist, the easier it would be.

Puppets of some kind is plausible...I've had one or two in the past that were modelled after birds that would sort of have a similar gait to these (especially with the double-jointed movement of the lower joints), though I wouldn't use FoF's little demonstration as a valid test of that theory. The video posted here showing FoF trying to use a puppet seemed rather poorly done overall.

The giveaway imo is the edge of the tape (at 1:11 for the linked video).

Both the tall AND the short figure turn around just as they are leaving the edge of the security camera range. Which means to me they are human - you can easily see their human shapes as they both turn around. Which also of course, says they know they reached the edge of the view of the camera, and this was staged, and they were stopping and turning around, probably looking at someone on the other side. Looks like they both are just walking stiff-kneed in cloth outfits that give them the weird appearance.

i.e. hoax

No... it has been claimed to be hoax on other threads...

That's far from debunking it...

debunking takes more than someone claiming hoax

It usually takes around 10 people claiming hoax over and over again (without evidence).

Again.. look at 1:11 in the video

BOTH FIGURES TURN AROUND. They both have human shapes. They are PEOPLE. This was obviously a hoax, they were turning right at the edge of the security camera. Probably some teen and his kid brother walking stiff legged wearing sheets done up in a costume.
