Israel's ambassador to Turkey reiterates Jerusalem's opposition to the naval 'provocation,' says Israel would allow the pass of humanitarian aid through other channels.
Turkey said on Thursday it had received a request from Israel to help stop activists sailing to Gaza on the first anniversary of an Israeli raid on a Turkish ship, but it said the flotilla plan was not Ankara's concern.
"A fact-finding mission of the UN declared that [the blockade] is illegal," Davutoglu said, adding that in last year's flotilla people were killed 72 miles [116 kilometers] from the coast, so this was in international waters. The Mediterranean does not belong to any nation."
"The time has come to show solidarity with the Palestinians and help them to live in peace and dignity," said the Turkish Ambassador to the UN Ertuğrul Apakan during a UN Security Council debate on the Middle East on Thursday.
I think Erdogan should keep his promise and Turkey should send navy vessels to escort the next flotilla.

Turkey is America's puppet state. They act out only as far as we let them and they know this. If we tell them to back down they will as they cannot afford not too.
They may be huffing and puffing a little but that's only to try and appease other countries. They are helpless when it comes right down to it.
