I have not read more than the first post but I have to ask ..

What is it with all the hype around that wedding ? I mean its just two people becoming husband and wife ...Just because they happen to be "royal" means that the whole world has to be excited about this ? I don't get that , how is that supposed to be a happy/significant event to the majority of the population ? It's great and all that a guy/gal found his/her love and I wish them all the best , but to me this just looks like a artificially created happening that has no meaning what so ever .. Well unless You count the money that will be made from the tourist and TV rights...

Royal wedding the event of the century .... This just shows how low we sunk :/

I was brought up by one parent who was less than favourable, however I am not a failure because of this, I too am a single mother, but that does not stop me from working part time, respecting my elders where respect is due, and raising my children who....are amazing.

Being a single mother, has not stopped my son from being able to.....

Reach cognative baby milestones exponentially faster than most babies,

Read numbers before he was a year and a half old,

Oh an he is the most selfless nicely natured child at times, sure he has his moments but he is a kid, but he is considerate, and his comprehension of the world is developed.

Better still he is a sensitive, caring , happy, little boy, being a part of a single parent family haasn't done him any harm, and one day should he fulfill hi poential he will come to ATS and make you eat your words lol

But seriously you can't tar all single parent families with the same brush, I had an incident just today in fact in the park after I picked up my 4 year old daughter, one of the other girls in her nursery was in the park too, and is in fact at least 6 months older than my daughter, she ran out of the park near to the road, and my daughter went after her, to bring her back in, because she understands that it was not a good idea for her friend to walk out.

Funny thing is my daughter's friend is from a two parent family.


Single parent background doesn't set you up for being a "Royal Hater." The unjustification for why they should have more, whilst there is so many with less does it for you.

Sorry to go against the OPs wishes but I have to spread a little Doom & Gloom to the people who are just totally sick about hearing of these two people which serve no purpose and affect none of our lives in the slightest except to be fodder for the MSM to feed their sheeple.

We are going to have to deal with every person in attendance getting interviewed, and selling their crap memories to every tabloid and it seems MSM paper . Every little detail "Kate had to get out of her gown 10 mins before walking down the aisle to go to the loo", "Prince Harry locks keys in car with wedding gift for brother", "The queen mum looked tired at the wedding is she dying ???????????" is going to be breaking news for days. Then If they have a honey moon (I have no idea but I would assume) Well heaven forbid, lets repeat cycle "I took room service to their honeymoon sweet", "I folded their bath towels", " I saw them on the beach holding hands". Plus pictures are going to be sold blah, blah ,blah, blah bullshi^e

Truth be told they have already put so much coverage on these two that they are going to milk it for another month at least. Realistically 2 or 3.

So to everyone who truly doesn't care and is wondering why football (soccer) commentators are discussing this mid match. Its not the end on Friday th 29th its just the end of the first wave.

If he wasn't, no one would care he was getting married to some broad named Kate. He hasn't earned this attention, is just cos he was born royally. I'm British, and the only reason I still see the royal family exist here is tourism (MONEY). The day their little tourist hype wears off... they'll be kicked out faster than a drunk straight guy hitting on woman at a lesbian bar.

the majority of british like the royal family because it is Iconic, its what makes britian, britian, without the royal family we wouldnt have buckingham palace of half the landmarks and attractions we do now, yes sure you can get rid of them now and we would still have the attractions, but if we never had them we wouldnt have anything iconic except cheddar cheese and somerset cider.

So who exactly did you poll in order to determine that the majority of of British like the royal family ?

Did you ask the Scots ? Did you ask the Welsh ?

If you really wish to know how loved this family is then let's have the people who want them pay for them I'm sure there would be no surprises as to the outcome. Like any other tax imposed on a population the idiots will always cry how wonderful the royals are..

The Sun is a pack of lies, one of my mates was paid £250 to have her photo in the paper....they then wrote a fictitious article about her sex life...that was the deal...spice it up, write it for her.

Try doing a nation wide poll....stick it in with the Census, i bet the results would be in the low 20%. Theres few people who even know who they are nowadays. Ask a 14 year old kid from a council estate what the monarchy is and they will look at you like your mad..it doesnt interest them. Ask a single mum who the queens husband is...doubt you will get the right answer...probably be "king" or something as daft.

Im not saying all single mums and people from council estates are ignorant....middle class, working class, whatever kids are the same. They have better things to be doing than learning. They hope they grow up and become a youtube star, or rapper, or hip hop star etc..dont need an education

No street parties where im living....none in the whole county as far as i know.

So on the day you are going to be happy for the young couple, why?

This young couple who have no idea who you are and what’s more in reality do not care about you your friends or your family.

In real terms it is costing the British Tax Payer a fortune and this make you happy?

I am not anti Royalist I just do not care and think that people who are actually going to enjoy this event are? Well I really don’t know, I just wonder why?
