I think the flare in this photo is from the solar cell of the camera at the front gate. It looks like the dudes have a small perch on that part of the hill, though I never saw them there. Possibly the route is just to service the camera.

The large pole mounted camera is at
37°20'38.84"N 115°39'24.77"W

There is another small camera near the front gate, but I can't find it on GE.

You need to zoom in. Don't expect to see much except for a flare on the image. Hey, images analysis isn't all that sexy. You get what you can get. There are flares on Google Earth that are known airplane crashes. The resolution isn't enough to see plane parts. With the current resolution of Google Earth, you aren't going to discover much. You really need to be on the scene.

There is another camera I documented awhile ago.
range 61 camera

This is the closest you can get to a camera as far as I know. The road is good, but you are traveling deep into an area where nobody goes. It is 8 miles from Groom Lake Road.

Start at
N37 22 57.2 W115 30 19.3
Stay on the main road.
Park at
N37 17 21.1 W115 35 27.6
Walk up to
N37 17 19.6 W115 35 20.5

The dudes will come out since there is a road sensor somewhere out there.
