could WW3 have already happened

this is an interesting thought i had could we have considerd the cold war to be world war 3, it was a conflict between countires that did affect the whole world.
countries were taking sides with russia or america, and it was nuclear arms stand off between the countries. several countries became paranoid of others, and the countries sopy agencies started shoadow wars, so to be technicla world war 3 may have already happened

I don't think the cold war was WW3, but I do think we are in the beginning stages of WW3 - setting the stage and all that. Perhaps with the Middle East?

yes, but this is a looong war. That was just the start, the economics are another phase. So..we could call this WW4??

Yes I agree ! Over the last year + look at the coutries that have been siding with the super powers, Look at the millitary bu ild up of the super powers inc China, The de-stablization of the middle east, Christian against Muslim problems, The super powers grab for the countries with oil that is required before a battle. The security drum up in western countries in preparation for border control, And so and so on..

If you say its a normal world and there's nothing going on I feel sorry for you being part of the matrix. One thing you should at least do is secure your hard earned money ! There is a "storm" coming ! Before hell breaks out...

some historian have called the seven years war between the worldwide colonies of britian and france to have been the first world war, so if the cold war was three than we could actualyh be heading into world war 5

I don't think that cold war was WW3 because the cold war was just a
race between nations to show their superiority and make a great name
in the world politics.

I wouldn't consider the Cold War WWIII, even though it did affect "world politics".But it was not a "shooting war".One could argue that the 'War On Terrorism" is WWIII......

The Cold War is a precursor to the next World War.
Just like the War on Terror, and just like what you see going on with the uprisings and revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa.

The foundations for the next World War are being laid, and have been being laid since the end of WW2.
