Israeli Propaganda on The Web?

Hey guys, just thought Id share an anomaly I came across.....

The other day I decided to go on YouTube and watch some videos about the protests going on all over the middle east. I usually never watch news or footage from the middle east on that site (don't know why)

But this day I decided to take a look. As I started watching a video about the mass slaughter going on in Syria right now, an AD appeared on the screen, one that I never saw before. It said "Do you hate Israel?" "Click yes or no"

Now I thought this was rather strange, considering the subject matter of the videos that I was viewing....So I decided to keep going and watch another video, this time the protests in Libya....right away another AD appeared on the page, this one said "Click here to show your support for Israel and the US"

Now let me be clear, I have nothing against Israelis and the Jewish people, hell I almost married a nice Jewish girl.

What I cannot stand is this Zionist propaganda that has infiltrated every forum, website, and discussion on the web.

How come we rarely see or hear news about the Israeli peace groups that are composed of Israelis who are against the entire Palestinian conflict, and have marches and protests right in Israel?

Why does it seem that whenever someone tries to discuss the atrocities that the Zionists are committing, someone always infiltrates the conversation, tries to derail it, and generally discredit the OP?

Is there an entire division of Israeli forces that monitor the internet, place these absurd Ads on different websites and actively try to discredit anyone who does not agree with their Zionist agenda?

I think there is truth to this, especially after seeing these Ads pop up, seemingly out of nowhere, Ads that I have never seen before until I started browsing YouTube for news of the uprisings in the ME.

Thoughts? Comments?

I have never seen the ads you speak of but considering the source I am not surprised. Get yourself some ad block/script block for your browser and you are all set.

The ads you see on YT and elsewhere are determined by cookies containing info about the types of sites you visit. Since you have started a thread which basically says you don't go to any Israel related sites, and are complaining about Israeli "propaganda" on the web, it seems fairly obvious that you visit anti-Israeli sites on a regular basis.

Not judging, just saying.

Thats a preety bold question and yes it definetly seems like propaganda. It's kinda creepy that there would be a question like that and considering that you would click on "yes", you probly get put on some kind of list.

Really? Please show me where in my thread I said "that I don't visit any Israel related sites"

And when is watching the ME protests an "Anti-Israeli" thing to do?

That was my first thought as well... I mean I have never saw an Ad like this before..

Right away I figured this was some sort of data gathering or IP recording where if you clicked yes, you'd be forwarded to a homeland security watch list.

Well, i see this thread on ATS. The thing is that i doubt that it is major discovery. There is propaganda cyber war and Israel got its own share just as Israeli opponents do. If there is government program - i am sure that there is.
Again, just as on the opposite lines of the front.
My advise - not to trust anything blindly. Both sides use manipulations, semi-truths and play on emotions. Gather info from multiple credible sources and decide for yourself.
Warning - i am from Israel so may be part of this propaganda.
Trust no one , truth is out there and ctr.

I'm sure all sides push their propaganda twisting truths and half truths into something they are not.. I take the level of propaganda to indicate the dire situation the world is in at the moment..

And it is not new.. right by me is a set of radio masts that where used for black ops broadcasting across Europe.. they where very successful delivering the huge amount of disinformation..

These are simply ads that get to you because the page you are viewing is holding lots of keywords regarding Israel, Palestine or whatever. It's just a way for YouTube and other companies to be able to match similar ads to whatever page you are viewing.

Most of these ads are private made, or even worse, corporation made. They will simply offer you some stupid way to get updated with news from Israel by using some bogus SMS text service which will drain your pockets, just like those astrology and weather services.

If these ads were there to recruit you to the IDF and send you into combat then yeah you could safely say this is a governmental aided propaganda.


Not to mention there is plenty and even more propaganda on the other side of the fence.

The point about Muslim propaganda was to show you it exists as you already know. Since you already know it does, I can't figure out why you would like to open a thread about the Israeli propaganda while you know there is the same propaganda for the other side.

I gave you a perfect explanation for the YouTube ad "anomaly" as you put it, while assessing the situation as it is - not every pro-Israeli post is made by a disinfo agent. I havn't derailed anything.
