US deploys armed drones over Libya

Armed US Predator drones are carrying out missions over Libya, Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said.

Mr Gates said their use had been authorised by President Barack Obama and would give "precision capability" to the military operation.

US drones are already used to target militants along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Libyan rebels have been battling Col Gaddafi's troops since February but have recently made little headway.

Please stop this madness, look at the disaster this has caused in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Enough is enough..... stop bombing people for following their stupid leaders, because it's no better than 9/11 and other terrorist attacks that kill civilians!

A little late for that. The lines are already being drawn, and back room deals are already being made. The third world war started when the bombs fell on Baghdad. The other major players are only going to sit by patiently watching until their energy supply gets interrupted. Then the main event will kick off.
