but I would say its pretty unlikely using the dow and the bible as tools to predict...far better to use actual science and also accept there is only percentage chances equal to the tech level of the science.

there will be a super big one in cali...however, if our best scientists cannot put a finger on when, chances are, a guy with a king james in hand while eyeing the stock market will not be much better at it.

I keep looking at Kentucky because I am losing my mind there was a blurb on the map there before but I guess it was an error so now I keep looking at it. I have got to remember screen shots. As far as "fear mongering" I think it only scares the people that want to be scared or prepared, why read it if it is going to bother you, just walk around like everyone else that did not choose to read it by not reading it. You can not be afraid of the dark if you don't turn the lights off, but then again it has to get dark sometime.

I don't need predictions to come true to enjoy them, to be honest. Besides, it gave me something to do today

Thanks for this thread OPs...you triggered in everyone a consideration (even if only for a half second) a apocolyptic end to it all, and since it didn't (wont) happen, well, thats gotta give a moment of happiness that we didn't all turn to vapor or whatnot.

So, there is that...silver lining or whatnot.

With all due respect. This is the prophecy and prediction forum. I will stick up for the op in saying if you are sick of reading the doom and gloom on this forum. Then quit reading them. It is simple, do not click on the thread that is in the prphecy and prediction forum. Obviously you have nothing better to do then to harrass someone for their opinion or beliefs.

Besides, I think the op was a registered member before you were.

Keep them coming op. I like the reading material if nothing else. It keeps my senses sharp.

As a new member I am unable to start a new post to describe a prophetic dream I had some years ago, but it seems apropos here...

I live and have lived near Yellowstone Nat'l Park and the supercaldera for over a decade. I am a bit of an amateur geologist and in my profession have had the opportunity many times to interview the Park geologist Hank Heasler and report on earthquake swarms and ground swell in the Yellowstone ecosystem and real-time threats or concerns from the Yellowstone Volcanic Observatory regarding caldera activity.

Overall, geologists are fairly certain (but always quick to note mother nature often will surprise with no warning) that observations involving ground swell, hydrothermal features and geologic movements (earthquakes) would be seen as ALL increasing if an eruption or earthquake of severe magnitude were impending. I take this info as real and grounded, especially as the geologists I know are not numbskulls or paid lackeys, but real folks just like the ones who post here.

Just a little background...So to the relevance to this thread...

Some years ago I had an extremely vivid dream that a eruption of the caldera and earth movement which would split the United States at the Mississippi River and cause massive flooding and destruction was about to happen and I had @ a week to get to safer ground. I knew this because I was monitoring the USGS site and saw a unusual swarm of earthquakes come up through central Nevada and then become inactive after a week. The earthquakes were on an undiscovered fault and the quakes on the USGS site had become all "yellow" (having happened over a week prior).

At this time, I was certain it would be time to get myself and my family to safer ground, and the safest ground would be in Quebec. In the dream I even doubted myself, but was reminded of other, minor dreams where I had seen other, minor things or events and they had happened within days or weeks.

My friends and family know about this dream, as I always tell them "Don't worry @ the caldera...I am certain I will know when it's gonna go..."

At present I am seeing the progress of earthquakes in Nevada as I have seen in my dream and, although I would rather ignore the warning, have already booked a flight and a 10-day "vacation" to an undisclosed location which may or may not be safe.

I am a media professional and the farthest thing from a quack, but I believe the warning from the dream. With all the madness in the world today, it's all I can be sure of and all I can prepare for.

Hopefully I am wrong, I'll have a nice vacay with my family and life will return to normal (ish) when I return, but on the off chance I am wrong, folks might consider preparing in whatever way they will...I may even perish in a plane crash or something...but I have seen many more visions from the future continuing so I hope this is not so (for my young children's sake if nothing else).

Whatever reality you are constructing for yourself every day, best to trust the gut, I say. It looks like we may see a fairly significant event in the next week or two. Stay safe!
