We are all still here. No terrible thing, in fact not much of anything at all.

People fall for this garbage every time and then no one ever apologizes when they are wrong. But wait. If anything happens in the next week you have your 'proof' and the dates were just wrong....

My guess is Alaska. They had a huge quake a long time ago.

I hope it's not San Francisco. That is a beautiful city.

You, obviously, are not a trained statistician. You are WAY off on your odds. What you state seems like a real reach to me but I'll keep an eye out.

When in doubt = blame on the Devil.

I suppose Christianity would be out of business if they didn't constantly blame the world's woes on Satan. I mean, that's what He's there for, right? The ultimate scapegoat (no pun intended). Because it's not like human kind isn't hellbent (another pun!) on it's own destruction.

I hope it comes. I love a good tragedy.

Then you have the other half of people blaming every thing on God and religion.go figure

- Food for thought -
If the government knew there was going to be a huge quake and sent out a warning, would the
resulting PANIC be worse than the actual earthquake?

You do realize the sheer SIZE of the U.S. right? And that even if EVERY major fault line were to have an earthquake at the same time, most of us still wouldn't even feel it, being that far away? I think your title just may be a BIT of an overstatement, hehe... (or is it wishful thinking?).

Regardless, I'm really not that worried, having experienced ZERO earthquakes while living in Florida...

Well, it's about 6:30 am on the west coast and so far, so good. Hopefully nothing bad is going to happen. I have a good friend a few hours north of LA and I'm going to call her later today.

Yes because soccor moms are tough cookies and they will transport thier kiddies in waves of minivans to the center of the nation. Gas prices will reach six bucks because of this. And forget getting to work on time.

Patience people. We here in the eastern half of the US still have awhile to go. We technically have to hold out until about 2:59 a.m., April 23rd. Oh, the suspense is killing me.

While I personally would hate to see scores of innocent people killed, I am at the point where my attitude is bring it on. Something has got to fix this septic tank of a society we live in.

Is this time dependent, because in NZ it is 10:00pm and nothing has happened in the USA. Good Friday is nearly finished.

OMG!!! There is a thing called Time Zones, ever hear of it?!?!!? It is Friday April 22, 2011 and the time for the east coast of USA is 9:20am therefore one must come to the conclusion that our day has yet to begun, well my husband and I anyway!!! For others their day began a couple of hours ago!!

Yea, I could use a day off too. I remember when 9/11 happened. Everyone sat in the commons area and watched it on TV. Let's get the disaster started so I don't have to work.
