consider, if you will... other races/aliens/cultures/top dog of that Planet would explore backwaters like Earth just because of being the first to catalogue life on other planets, Earth included...

On page quad, so far, there are No Stars... the exploratory universe has shunk as time passed..

I think that along with ALL the planets and life forms on them, in the infinate multi-verses, that there are just as many sentinent beings that want to study them.

Some follow Universal rules, and some don't, to every degree and variation in between.

We exist in a multi-dimensional, multi-verse, anything and everything that can happen, does.

Also the number of stars in the universe is more equivalent to the number of atoms that make up all of the things in our Galaxy.

I can think of many reasons ET would be here.

Out of all alien species, we are the most similar to them. (Probability says that parallel evolution could happen.)
They were here first or maybe evolved from something on Earth before us.
They are from our own solar system.
They aided in the evolution of Homo Sapiens in the first place.

Just to name a few possibilities.

Fair enough, you make a great point. But what if one of those grains of sand were emitting something that made you see it over all the others? The Earth has been transmitting radio waves for decades and those waves go out into space. Now granted they probably haven't traveled far enough for an advanced civilization to hear them, but maybe one day.

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this to the OP or not but they come here because of us. I don't think the planet has anything to do with it. They are interested in us because of the souls we have. The ones that you believe exist in to the afterlife. They are interested in us because we are food.

Just like everything else we are all food for something else. It is just a natural biological process but it is the details of this process that are subtle and hidden and if you were to be privy to them you would go mad like some character in a Lovecraft novel.
