WikiLeaks......What The Heck Happened?

Remember WikiLeaks? At one time they were supposed leaders in exposing the evil doings of Governments and Big Business.......So what happened? Last I heard they were all set to bring the world of Banking down to its knees with some sort of secret memo, or document(s) that would reveal corruption on an unheard of level........and that was quite a while ago. Whatever happened to all of that?! Also they were supposed to reveal UFO documents (however in the case of the UFO documents, it may have been the media making an out of context quote sound like something it wasn't)

So what happened? Was he pressured by his legal trouble to stop 'leaking' anything important? Was WikiLeaks just little more than Hype from the get go? Was WikiLeaks actually a C.I.A.(or some other Alphabet agency) operation the whole time, designed to capture whistle blowers, or for some other nefarious reason?

OR...is the best still yet to come?

What are your thoughts?

It could have been hype, but since bankers can shape the destinies of countries, you think Wikileaks had any real chance?

But I guess that with Japan's catastrophe, everything went discreetly under the rug. You bring an interesting point, but I admit I'm not a Wikileaks-I-know-everything-about-it guy...

... Yeah Wiki didn't really have any chance, because it's the powerful that rule this World and Mainstream Media! No matter how many times you shout/scream TRUTH - It'll have no real affect coz you're not the one with the billions of pounds/dollars and contacts!

Quite a bit of stuff was brought out by Wiki but it all got buried quite soon ... For a bit people did the whole "ooh aah" and then went about their ways thinking someone like the UN would take charge of all this and start rectifying things ... But that will never happen and can never happen ... So, all in all ... Wiki made a good bedtime read for some people and that's all ... The truth got buried and the day to day living continued ...

Good points. I imagine he was likely much safer exposing Government secrets than Banking ones! He should have just stuck with the former, perhaps. I think he also set himself up to be too much of a figurehead. He was supposedly an ex-hacker or something right? He should have remembered that best protection in being a hacker is protecting ones anonymity. Whether you think him a villain or a saint, I think few doubt that he had a massive ego. He should have kept it, along with himself in the shadows.

America and Britain got their uprisings through the East due to Wikileaks, now they are in those countries trying to rig elections (Egypt) and steal Oil (Libya).

The evidence is there look for it.

I don't doubt that is a real possibility....personally I don't know what to think, which is why I started this thread.

wikileaks was a carefully orchestrated operation designed to tell people what tptb wanted them to believe...then a little while back there was that press conference with that Swiss banker handing over the Swiss banking information, and there has not been a peep since...it appears that the operation got out of control, and when the bankers who really control this sh!tshow became threatened, the operation was shut down...

Another possibility....and it certainly fits some of the anomalous Cablegate "leaks" that seemed, by far, to have encouraged a Pro-American, and Pro-Israel point of view, at least as far as the Middle East went...I was actually a little surprised of that, and the fact that there were so few bombshells among the data. I realize there are still cables to be released...but they seem to be coming and an ever decreasing rate...and considering his situation, you'd think he would have wanted to throw out bombshells at regular intervals in order to keep up interest in his organization.

As you said, a hacker should stay hidden, in a way, not forefront. There are lawyers for that!

I'm inclined to think you're right (though there may be more) considering that the Bank of America stuff never got released. They must have "made him an offer he couldn't refuse". Interesting, too, the charges he was facing seem to have "gone away" or at least, off the radar.

I believe that wikileaks was too "out in the open" site. This site, ATS, spreads it's rumors and such. Wikileaks, however said one thing such as bringing something down, and they got flaked for it.

The first one was interesting.....though I imagine that Assange would take credit for the Second Coming of Jesus it it had happened.....(the guy has a massive ego...)

The Libya one was......well no offense, but that link was kind of dumb....it just sounded like some random short rant that went no where and said nothing. He seems to doubt that the rebels could have set up the new bank and oil system so quickly, yet he gives no evidence, nor does he even speculate on why.....

The third one, as the first, is quite interesting....still it gives no real links to Assange, other than the fact that the new Egyptian government could work much better for the US. It could very well work much worse too....all according to who eventually gains control, the moderate, Secular Muslims, or the Extremist Muslims.
