I love oatmeal raisin too. They're really good if you add a few chopped pecans or walnuts in the batter before you bake them. Especially with a cup of hot chocolate to go with them. Yum.

In our home, a box of Pecan Sandies lasts about 2 days.
And for the homemade kind it would be Old Fashion Oatmeal Raisin.

I must admit that we try to eat healthy around here, but sometimes endulgence is just the thing after a long week of working

Peanut butter cookies always rate right up there for me. And when I can make them myself or find a good brand those Chinese-style almond cookies are always a favorite.

So there, I named a couple of my favorites that haven't already been mentioned, but when it comes right down to it it is hard to beat good homemade oatmeal raisin cookies, especially with some pecans. In fact I can do without the raisins if some nuts are in it. I prefer mine to be on the hard side so prefer to make them myself and can get that by using a higher proportion of white sugar to brown, however most people I know will prefer softer cookies so they prefer more brown sugar in the mix which is probably healthier except that here in Mexico the sugar is less refined and has the raw, slightly brown color in the white sugar. Less refined is better, no?

Store bought, I prefer Chips Ahoy.

Fudge covered Oreos are a close second though...

Homemade...nothing compares to good old-fashioned chocolate chip cookies, when they haven't quite cooled on the rack, with a nice cold glass of milk....

Literally ANY homemade ones fresh from the oven...but homemade soft/chewy chocolate chip have got to be the absolute best! I could quite possibly eat them until throwing up...and then eat some more
Coming in a close second is peanut butter.

My Grandmother was a wonderful cook...and she used to make homemade oatmeal raisin cookies with smashed walnuts and brown sugar.....yummy!

In order for me to have a good cookie...it has to be homemade....no preservatives!

My favorite home made cookies are sugar cookies (I add lemon flavoring with the vanilla), peanut butter (anyone remeber smashing them with a sugar coated fork?), and gingerbread men (I use honey instead of molasses and lots of cloves). Storebought? Pepperidge farm orange milanos ...... I would work for those cookies. hmmmm.....I could make a sign....well if you ever see someone with that sign by your local Walmart you'll know it's me!
