Let me preface this by saying I have nothing against the Japanese people, I would never wish harm on anyone, especially the harm of being washed by an 100 ft wave!

Remember though, that the Japanese nation still has two grievous sins, that they have yet to atone for. That being the Rape of Nanjing and the ongoing slaughter of cetaceans.

Is it possible that the tsunami is a kind of collective karmic event meant to kick compassion into the Japanese people? I know this is really offensive and controversial, but it's just a thought I had.

No, that's ridiculous. If karma were real, it wouldn't punish those people for other people's sins.

Who is to say karma has the same sense of justice we do? Or that karma is even the result of a conscious agent?

An example - if a parent's generation destroys their environment, the children pay for it. No, it's not their fault! But it's still a form of karma.

Wouldn't the US get nuked then for nuking another? Assuming it's an eye for an eye style thing.

Or if it's just flat out revenge, shouldn't the US get nuked for doing what it does in other countries?

No, it was not karma.
It was an earthquake which lead to a tsunami.
I highly doubt any of the Japanese people that lost their lives had anything to do with the massacre that you mentioned therefore it can't be karma, and furthermore who says that the Japanese were not compassionate people before this event occured? Meh.

they have known regardless for age's for this event to occur despite what many of you might think is the cause. these natural catastrophic event's where always for told by the mysteries school's, and it is said this root race (Aryan), is to die by water and fire.

this is a highly inflammatory post, and quite racist.

this "karma' you describe is like some kinds of godlike retribution not the assumed karmic debt of an individual.

i agree with the point if there was some kind of natural karma, America would need to suck a big one for using the atomic bomb, not once but twice.

and England for the subjugation and extermination of thousands of indigenous cultures globally.

in fact many many "nations" are guilty of that.

also i would hope that you would get karma of the kind you describe for your racist and inflammatory thread.

though i will try to explain karma to the best and simple term's, I'm sure we all know that karma is the law of cause and effect, it is the law that regulates all energy within the universe or manifestation, this law was not set up by some god in a throne in so off place, rather it exist because of the construct of manifestation, now this law being that it regulates all energies also apply to the human mind, and thought form and Jesus really makes a good point of this in Matthews 5:28 "But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart". now it is every man for himself , by freewill, no matter what the outside circumstances we are in charge of our own destiny, man is an immortal being, and will reach for the light in time.

actually karma is not CAUSE and EFFECT...

karma is the sum total of the actions of one life, repaid or revenged in your NEXT LIFE>

you can NEVER see your karma in action.
