There is much to be concerned about, we are at risk of loosing huge expanses of diversity, what these people dare to do simply has no precedence, never in mankind's history, or at least the part we know about, have men been able to wield so much power for so miserable cause.

Getting rich beyond measure is no longer their concern, as has been pointed out this Monsanto gig has more than 100 years, money has lost all meaning for them.
Total and complete domination is what they crave, when they sue farmers over natural processes no one needs any explanations, what they do lacks all measure and common sense, its not efficient in any way save for craping in nature and in the true nature of the human spirit, which is to build and learn, and not to poison and degrade.

Can humanity really be any more irresponsible?
of course they can!
Mainstream news has no place for this, either by choice or by coercion from the genetic hijackers, one sad fact is that the rest simply dont care, we simply dont give a damn, this site is a microcosm, and the fact that this post hasn't gathered more attention is proof that sometimes, reality is not something we would rather take into account regarding our sanity or our general wellbeing.

Can we do anything about this issue? not today.
Unless they cared; the majority wins and they are the majority.
No one will leave behind any foodstuffs they are accustomed to, that would mean not eating 70% or more of corn and soy stuffs, which are where we mostly get our diets filled.
The only way to stop them would be by curving demand towards the negatives regarding their products, we lost the choice a long time ago, this world need to change.

It needs a fresh start, lets educate and learn as much as we can right now, preparing and getting ready, because when this firecracker goes off, hopefully this time, the good guys get to rebuild.

cheers!

You know...just a wacky thought...I have been considering that the doomsday seed vault up in Norway and others like it (D.U.M.B's) were made so that a GMO food supply could "safely" be used to sterilize the great majority of the worlds population over the course of 100-200 years (the seed vault would protect original species). GMO's have been linked to infertility more than once now, as well as organ damage, so it appears to be a weapon. Of course, this is total speculation.

With the recent events in Japan, would you not be of the opinion that the seed vaults are to reproduce chemical free food for the "new populace" of the world once the Elite get rid of the rest of us through radioactive food supply? Once we all die off of radioactive diseases, then they can clean up the mess as best they can and replant clean crops. Makes sense does it not?

We are full time farmers. I will tell you all that Monsanto has the American farmer by the neck. really. If you can buy non-GMO PLEASE DO SO! And, spread the word. Even one bag of non-gmo potato chips make a difference every week. It is a trickle down system and it is going to be very difficult to erradicate GMO's from our food. Monsanto has used the American farmer as a puppet and the poor farmer didn't even know it until it was too late and there was no way out.

SAY NO TO GMO!

It makes a tremendous amount of sense, specially when some doom sayers are projecting a substantial decrease in plant life from the radiation, or even worse, a substantial increase in radioactive accumulations in plants making most of them too poisonous for human consumption.

This is a turning point in our planet, we let them do all sorts of nasty things, big corporations cant be held accountable for anything, because no matter how much money they where made to pay in "fines" and no matter how many executives go behind bars, the damage to the ecosystems will take years and years.

Its human action what needed this time to make a positive impact, sadly I see very few stepping up to the plate, but I dont worry at all, earths changes will put us all facing the inevitable, whether we want it or not, we change or we die, we adapt or we die.

The people of japan weren't asked if they wanted a tsunami or an earthquake, those no one can stop, but to the building and planning of MOX fueled reactors they were informed, they could have done something about that.
Let that be an example to us, right?

I heard that if you plant GMO seeds, take seeds from the harvest and replant them, and you repeat this process, the GMO seeds will eventually revert to their native form. Does anyone know if this is true and how many cycles are required?

I believe that most (if not all) GM seeds are sterile. Therefore they don't produce viable seeds in their lifetime and you have to keep buying the seed from monsanto.

Maybe what I heard was referencing what happens to seeds borne as a result of cross pollination?

You guys should be more concerned about the Flu and HIV viruses that undergo dangerous genetic transformations in shorter time than it takes to do a clinical trial.

wow.

I was totally in the dark about this. In 10 minutes this has completely reversed my food thoughts. It is horrifying to think of what we might be doing to our children.

Maybe I missed a link or reference, but what exactly happens to the crops that are crosspollinated with the GMO pollen? Is the result equally as bad as using the GMO seeds in the first place? Please forgive my ignorance.

Terminator Seeds, the ones that don't reproduce viable seeds, seem to take over indigenous varieties. Think about it. That was no accident, I'm sure. One day, they'll own the patents to all crop seeds. We all need to start our own seed vaults with heirloom seeds ONLY, and grow them indoors, away from Franken-pollen!

Honest question. It may sound stupid but I want to know. If I dont eat GMOs or any other processed food, what can I eat?

Ah yep that makes sense. Sort of like breeding out the GMO species I guess.

(In saying that, I know pretty-well nothing about this topic scientifically).

There's nothing stupid about that question. Currently there is no regulation stating that food lables must declare if they are GMO or used any GMO ingredients. Up to 70% (I believe, I'll re-check that tomorrow) of our foods contain some GMO ingredient. So the most important things to do in my opinion are to get the labling changed and to take a stand against GMO's period.

One thing you can do to start eliminating GMO from your diet is to shop at health food stores, I don't think I can name any but there's a rather large chain that is very pro-activism and I believe they are nation-wide. Health food stores may carry GMO foods but there's a much higher chance they will be labled and they will have a much larger selection of non-GMO foods, than your average grocery store.

The whole GMO and selective breeding of food makes my blood boil. If there was ever a subject/cause that radicalizes a fence sitter it's food and population manipulation. Driving the other day I spotted a Monsanto vehicle. Never has the urge to knife a car's tires hit me more.

These companies ARE creating sickness to to sell the drugs,.
it is called health care
It is like the age of the razor blade
it was the sale if the shaving cream that made the profit.

If you have the opportunity try watching the documentary "Tapped" about bottled versus tap. Some good information there. Here is the link to the trailer on youtube. Link

The focus is pretty much for tap water and against bottled water. So just keep that in mind. I am for filtering myself.
