aliens are really, really smart.

Consider the human race right now. Trying to advance science and our understanding of the universe, we're slowly making progress as we gain more and more insight. We can venture in and around our immediate solar system, although we've never put a human on any other celestial object than the moon. We have a lot of trouble with the government, debt, and a lot of other crap we deal with.. We're not perfect, a lot of our problems are probably holding us back.

Now an alien race, perhaps one that has tried to contact us or is the culprit of a UFO sighting. They possess technology that is beyond our comprehension, the ability to move quickly between stars requires a vast understanding of physics and time, as well as resource development and acquisition. We're also probably not the only planet they would be checking out, assuming they have the same want to explore like we do, they may have extended their expeditions to different solar systems, maybe even settled on different planet. These are all just big maybes but what i'm trying to get at is: they're whole culture would have to be either smarter, or a lot older than us here on earth.

Aliens advanced enough to find us have (considering they'd want to) could have gone through wars, social upheaval, extinctions, and vast stretches of time. Assuming that they remained peaceful enough to reach such an advanced states without destroying themselves (the road we're running down). The possibility arises that they have grown into a state of social understanding and 'teamwork' that is so developed and different from us that we can't even conceive the method they would go about in conducting their business.

Also, if they were a war-like species consider this, using humans as an example: if we fought ourselves from 200 years ago, we could destroy a standing army with our adversary only catching the slightest glimpse of us before being blown to holy hell. So if an alien species wanted us off the planet or wanted us dead for some reason, why would they be waiting? We had a nuke 50 years ago what would we have in 100 years. Better yet, what does the alien have mounted on his space vehicle.

The problem that I have in writing this is that i'm contradicting myself. By saying we can't conceive their methods and guessing them myself. The last thing i want to say is that anything is possible, but aliens are probably really, really smart.

They're also so smart that they can disguise their interstellar spaceships so that they look like unresolvable dots of light.

all we have to do is get rid of greed, and we could be right up there with them ....quicker than you think too

To a naked eye, a craft using this shielding technology system will look like a shining light. This is why people will see objects in the sky but nothing is shown on the radars. The light created, originates in the interaction between loose charged particles in the earths atmosphere and the magnetic fields created by the core of the reactor to overcome the gravitational force of the earth.
