I'm of two minds about this.

One is that I am no fan of factory farms, and think journalists should be able to investigate them

The other is that passing a law making it illegal to tape on private property seems pretty reasonable.

Originally posted by Amperage. They don't realize the differance of a milk cow or meat cow. Yet they call animal control every week on the farmers around this area that have dairy cows (ribs are naturally sucked in). Thank god for smart-enough cops. (They laugh at the idiots) then leave with a handshake. They know what's up.

I have a small dairy herd and can vouch for this one - my wife's sister is a vegan and PETA weirdo and she and some friends came to the farm and I heard them talking about how skinny my cows were. I had to show them the breed characteristics - then they still didn't really buy it.

My girls are very spoiled and get the best of all things hell I even heat their barn.

They are Holsteins. they have really prominent hips and ribs and tend to be bony to the untrained they might look unhealthy. Here is a photo of one from the Holstein Association USA which is a prime example of the breed characteristics. Wish I had a few that looked this nice – I only have a couple of registered ones. They are 4k plus with papers.

Now if I saw a horse or a dog or even an angus with hips/ribs like these I'd call the SPCA myself but this is just the way they look.

This makes me sick!
you can not stop a crime by not seeing it.
they are complies’et it the crimes.
just like the police hiding what they do.
by not letting people film them.
these people should be taken to court
for aiding and abetting criminals.
if you went to report a bank robbery to the police.
and some one stop’t you giving the police evidence.
that would be a very very cereuses crime.
from this it can been seen
that the Law is being controlled by the criminals.

The problem is, the criminals we are discussing in this thread, are big agra corporate capitalist CEO untouchables. Protected by the politicians people vote for, and these politicians are given money by the Corporates. On the other hand, I'm not sure if people's votes are all that effective lately, as this large self sustaining Plutocracy of covert money changers takes on a firmly ensconsed existence of it's own. That is a pretty dark pessimistic view of this possible utter futility. Is it as bad as I'm imagining? Or not really so, They just want you to think so? Or is it worse?

Laws like this one just make me want to go out and break them, I hope this encourages more undercover videos to be taken and those start getting leaked to Wikileaks, and not suppressed, which is clearly what the corporations/government want.

My biggest concern is that some of these animals are raised in such deplorable conditions and pumped full of drug concoctions that the meat from these places just isn't healthy anymore. I don't know if eating the meat of a downer cow can make you sick or give you cancer or mad-cow disease or what, but I'm pretty sure I'd never eat it if given a choice, even predators in the wild won't touch obviously sick prey (with the exception of carrion eaters perhaps).

This isn't about vegetarians versus omnivores, it's not even about the innate cruelty of prey versus predator which is simply part of nature, it's about turning farms into factories and how sickening the whole process of mass-produced food has become. I want my steaks from cattle that have grazed the Ponderosa, not been crammed into a 2 foot by 4 foot cell and being fed growth hormones, steroids, and Bovine spongiform encephalopathy, cows that have literally never taken a single step in their sickly short lives.

Actually, that's not true. Predators routinely prey on the weak and sick, which helps keep the herds they need to survive healthy.
