okay okay yes i have a hidden agenda by asking this question, and that is, of course, that i am looking for a new game!

i have been playing fallout3 and new vegas, new vegas was pretty good, but no where near as long as fallout3. i introduced fallout3 and new vegas to my girlfriend's son and it was pure addiction from the moment he took the controller and created his character... we both beat new vegas within days, but he has been working on fallout3 for a couple months. i have played and beaten it as both good and evil characters, i recently got the goty edition with the extra missions (before going through it the 2nd time, so i have played all of the extras), and although i am playing through it for the 3rd time now, i am about half way through and starting to get bored, only because i've done just about all there is to do on it...

so the reason for my question would be just that... what are you enjoying currently? i am thinking of dead space 2, i have read the reviews and it sounds to be quite good and frightening, although it sounds like the game length is only 10-12 hours, where as i put at least 30 hours into my first go at fallout3... so that would pose a subsection question, any games out there that are really fun and quite lengthy? i like pretty much anything, would have to say besides fallout, i loved oblivion, but i also enjoy non-rpg, i love of course the halo series, all of them except odst and another one, can't remember which one, but 1, 2 and 3 and reach were wonderful. i also love the resident evil series... and i am also thinking of getting half-life 2 orange box, i have read that it is a pretty good deal and fun as well, i played the first half-life and absolutely loved it...

also, just to note, i do not have xbox live, so the games would need to be geared towards offline...

any suggestions?

mass effect 2 would be a solid choice if you enjoyed Fallout 3. Also, fallout 1 and 2 for old pc are classics.

lol at Ace Combat!! I remember the first one, jeeze that was ages ago!

Bulletstorm looks mighty fine, Homefront also looks pretty awesome, though the majority of it's awesomeness is online.

I personally LOVE the assassins creed games, I 've got all 3 and have completed all 3.

They're fecking EPIC. plus the storyline is pointing towards the illuminati/nwo/2012 conspiracy.... whilst including people like leonardo davinci and the knights templar...
It's just simply EPIC.

Highly advise it.

Halo 3. I ran Halo 3 with the guy who is number 1 in the united states. he went by the name RippinHeads. I like Halo Reach. Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 are my new favorites and is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more realistic than Call of Dooooody. I am still a beast at Black Ops.

anyone run xbox live?

Far Cry 2 is amazing

Open ended...play however you want....the physics engine is great...good story....there are 2 regions you play in, each is 50 square kilometers. I've played through several times, at like 40+ hours per...

Red faction Guerilla is awsome as well....long game, good story, and you can destroy everything...played through several times 40+ hours as well

Also, Borderlands was a good one as well...40+ hours, funny, a diablo type weapon generator..a lot of add ons

Farcry 2 should be pretty cheap now too!!

Dead space 2 is awsome (especially on a 55 inch sony bravia)....worth it, but not long enough 12-15 sounds right....wait for it to go down in price a little

I like a lot, but the one I think I had the most fun with was ES Oblivion.

It, along with Battle for Middle Earth 2, was the very first title I picked up for the 360. In fact, I think I bought the 360 just to be able to play the game.

Runner-ups would be Left 4 Dead, COD, Fallout

Check out Borderands, Mass Effect 1&2, the Assassins Creed games, and Elder scrolls: Oblivion. Those should keep you busy until Elder Scrolls:Skyrim comes out on 11/11/11. Most of these can be picked up for under 30 bucks, and offer hours of enjoyment.

I loved Fallout New Vegas, but waaay too many glitches. Not to mention the game totally ends once beating it.. I'm so glad that I had a save file right before the last mission so I was able to play Dead Money.

The expansion is really sweet too

Ive played nearly 150 games on the 360, had the thing for over 5 years now, too hard to say a favourite!
Hitman, Assassins Creed, Deadspace, Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War, Red Dead Redemption,Arkham Asylum,Alan Wake,Battlefield BC2,Dark Sector,Residant Evil 5,Bioshock, Ghost Recon, Halo 3.........
Too many enjoyable games to mention!!
I buy mostly pre-owened games( 4 for £20, 2 for £20 etc) so i get through a lot of good games that have slipped under the rader.
The best game ive played on-line has to be Frontlines- fuels of war.
That game had it all! (Its 3-4 years old now)!
My gamertag is - superxnova

Borderlands is a cheap version of Fallout 3 and gets pretty tedious and all missions are just chores.
For a fallout 3 fan BOrderlands just doesn't cut it, I know.

I'm a ps3 gamer but since the games you're listing are multiplat I could chime in here.... Don't listen to the guy about borderlands, it is a fun game and if you get lonely on it there is plenty of people to play online co op with, that's what sets it apart from the other rpgs.....

I owned dead space 2 and it was a good game, not as many boss fights as I would have liked but the gameplay was very solid! I think your best bet is to wait till sept-nov that's when all the good games are hitting.... Elder Scrolls V, RAGE, Ace Combat 7 and a few more I can't think of right now... I suggest you at least rent DS2 though, that's the best advice I can give because there is a long wait for the good ones to come out..

Borderlands is definitely no Fallout, but it's still decent.

Fallout is more RPG, less action. Borderlands kinda makes me think action-arcade RPG. Fun to just pick up and kill things. Squashing enemies with vehicles is sweet too.

The cell shaded graphics hurt my eyes at times though

Get Portal.

It will blow your mind. Portal 2 comes out April 19th. I am pre-ordering it

With all the hours I've put into Modernwarfare, Black Ops, Mass Effect, and practically most mass selling game out today, it would have to be...

NIER.
Absolutely under-rated yet absolutely full of soul. There's not many games today that can match the substance that games used to introduced back in the early 90's.

Mostly everything now is holly wood special effects backed by decent to terrible atmosphere & plot. Quite honestly, its an age of hype... not substance.

u should look into Sacred 2. you could play it for hundreds of hours and it has local coop. its somewhat like diablo if your into that. its probably less than $20 bucks at gamestop for a new copy. of course like all used games at gamestop you can return it within 7 days for full price.

check out some sacred 2 reviews, if your into long action rpgs then it's right up your alley.

Borderlands is no fun anymore though there are too many players with mods and glitched weapons and armour.

Fallout is amazing although once you get all the achievements it could really do with a multiplayer mode, that would be excellent.

I always end up going back to halo reach now, that is one of my favourite games, go get em NOBLE 6
