I have had it for the past ten years...12 years working on the F-16 (extremely loud jet) will do that....There are certain songs that I can't listen to that will hit the specific tone and drive me nuts! Usually it just happens when music or a noise hits a certain pitch....it will ring and rattle like a broken speaker in my ear. Also sometimes when I lay down at night. But since about January this year it has been going off constantly. It has about driven me nuts too...I sleep with a fan on at night...just point it away from you and turn it on high. It helps...as does the cannabis cure...lay off diet drinks...they are not better for you than full sugar ones...if you are trying to lose weight drink water...

My father and a few of my friends had really bad tinnitus.
The cheap solution was Ginko Biloba. Easily found at health
food stores, pharmacies, and supermarkets.
My father said it absolutely works great for him.
Hope this helps...

Here is a link to a review on it

I have it mainly in my right ear - constantly... day & night - although it's not really heard but sort of generated inside my head.

Best thing I ever found to help ignore it is quiet background noise such as music or radio. Either that or try to focus on something else.

White noise also really helps to mask it entirely, for me anyway - but then the tinnitus is still there loud as ever after you switch off the white noise.

The best free white noise generator is right here:
www.simplynoise.com...

I'm listening to it right now & it really helps drown my tinnitus out completely.

If I understand well, you had no injury like objective which could cause it right?

So I'll tell you one more thing. How do I face it. When such tone comes to my focus (ear/brain) I'm listening to it. That's it. It's like with pain - pain is designed to bring our consciousness where it's needed to heal. When you hear - listen. If you meditate (or better to say concentrate) on pain, it could grow at first, but it has to last less time. If you understand.
When such frequency comes to me, it is usualy be lower Hz than my inner sound of silence so I find it not difficult to conquer it with my higher consciousness pitch. The way is simple: you try to listen and make oneness with higher one which you actually canť hear, but it's still there. If you can remind it, the lower one disappears.
In one-ear-case it is usually stronger and lower. Sometimes it sounds so strong like a pitchfork next to my ear. Sometimes also the sound doesn't come to me but from me (I canť find the right word for it) maybe you know what I mean. Everytime I analyze it like: Where or who does it come from? Is that kinda information? Isn't my spirit / compassion needed somewhere? However in my case it lasts seconds, few minutes max.
Maybe you should learn something from it instead of run away. If you find yourself unable to conquer it, and you feel it's not some evil, deamonic mind stuff than try to dedicate yourself to it rather than fight it.
Or pray.

mind you, a lot of what people say is "tinnitus" is actually just blood or other liquids flowing near the ear canal and they often think the sound of silence is tinnitus(people also call it "white noise", saying it's what your brain does in self-defense because it can't handle complete silence). in general, it's very subjective, so it's very hard to find out where it came from or if it's just your own hysteria causing it. but it's almost always caused by usually long periods of loud noise(sirens, music, etc, my father got it from working as a paramedic), although i've heard of some getting it from very short periods, so if you've ever had a job or hobby that involved loud noises for long periods, that's most likely your obvious answer.

same here, I have Tinnitus as long as I can remember. For me 'total silence' never existed. Doctors don't have a clue about what is causing it. (I also see constants specs before my eyes that increase or decrease simultanious with the Tinnitus).
I am so used to it that I don't even notice it untill I put my focus on it.

However,
in some cases Tinnitus has a clear medical cause
so If I where you I would have it chequed out asap just to be sure.
You don't want to have it turned into real hearing loss.

Same thing here...I have had it as long as I can remember. I NEVER have silence....But, I am use to it now and it never bothers me much unless I focus on it...Been getting louder these last few years also....I believe it is coming from the earth itself and some peeps are just resonating with it...

Nicely stated Giorgio. As each persons personal frequency rises more tones will be heard.

Medicine here treats things from outward body guesses/estimations. Real healing begins with the mind because it controls our bodies totally. Proof of this has been shown many times, once you are brain dead, you are indeed unable to keep the body functioning at all.

If doctors learned how to heal with ancient tonal frequencies, they would cure every dis-ease known.

They would probably have to opt out/ or be thrown out of the AMA if they did; they would be labeled quacks.

I have had tinnitus since I was 7 years old. My uncle, who was 14 at the time threw a firecracker in my hair and it exploded . I couldn't hear for awhile and when my hearing returned the ringing came with it. My ears are ringing as I type this. It never stops and stays the same loudness always. I use two fans at night to cover the ringing. And as one poster said, it is like many, many Cicadas sounding off in late summer. A continuous sound.
Most of the time I can just block it out but like now typing about it, I am very aware of how loud and annoying it is. I think because I was so young when the ringing started, I was better able to handle it as I aged.
I don't know of anything that makes it stop.

The net has some good research on tinitus.

I don't have the links handy.

FOLKS LISTENING TO LOUD MUSIC--particularly loud rock/heavy metal 'music' . . . WORKING IN LOUD ENVIRONMENTS

ARE SETTING THEMSELVES UP FOR A LIFE OF RINGING IN THEIR EARS.. . . as long as they can hear at all . . .

Also, stress and anxiety can trigger the onset and/or worsening of it.

Sorry for a little OT

There are few threads about Sollfegio, 432 Hz etc. Interresting stuff. Maybe just too much esoteric/new age, numerology mumbo jumbo around it, We need some science research of that. Relation to colors, patterns in salt (youtube "Sound and Salt Patterns" if you don't know what I mean) Actualy we don't know what Hz were used. (even Hz is man made so numbers doesnť mean anything

That reminds me Royal Raymond Rife. He was killing viruses and cancer tumors with 100% success back in 1930. Real genius. Big pharma didnť think so.

I also have this annoying condition and I HATE IT! I can't even remember how long it's been, probably like 8 years at least. It sort of just happened after an ear infection and never went away and the hearing doctor said there was no cure for it. So basically I've learned to deal with it sometimes it's quiet and others it is very loud. I really want to kill myself after I caught another ear infection last year because it became so loud and unbearable and it was driving me mad. Eventually it subsided to lower levels, but I understand your pain and I wish someone could get to the bottom of why it occurs and how to get rid of it for good.

One theory I have heard is it may have something to do with amalgum fillings, I am not removing mine to find out, I cannot afford the dentist costs to do my own research.
I would love to discover if this was the cause though.

I had 18 amalgam fillings and no tinnitus till 25.
Went on a diet with coconut oil and got tinnitus.

I had my 18 amalgams removed and it didnt cure my tinnitus,
however it was the best thing I ever did for my health and cured
my severe depression, brain fog, anger, chronic fatigue, and many other symptoms.

I cannot pin it down as to when, but something took my silence away too.

Hearing I believe is easy to protect, and I did a damn good job - can hear snails crawling from across a field type thing ( and no not when hungover) yet still, the high pitch continues.

Could it be due to a constant proximity to PCs? Monitors? That constant fan noise?
Could it be we are compressing to another density?

Or could it be the public enemy number one ? Mark my words.> Yea, those big ass transducers just reek of benevolence don't they?

One weekend the ringing was so LOUD and beyond annoying that seriously, if I had had a gun I would have ended it.

I would imagine that most people are unaware that those cell towers contain atomic clocks that precisely measure calls to the ten thousandth 0.0000 per sec, as phones come into and leave their range.

I so completely agree with you. I just started having very frequent ringing in my ears, very high pitched. I have always been extremely sensitive to sound and can't stand loud noises. I prefer silence. I think I am picking up on new vibrations and the frequencies of the earth/universe. (:

That's what I was referring to earlier without putting it in your words; thanks. As our personal frequencies rise we become conscious of Textof everything in existence, on every world, in every civilization, in every species in existence including people, plants, animals, rivers, oceans, mountains...all of everything that is a part of the ONE.

I have had tinnitus occasionally. More often as a child, as well as ear infections.

My tinnitus was caused by Candida Overgrowth aka Candidiasis. I started consuming anti-fungals and probiotics and all of my symptoms, including the tinnitus cleared up.

If I stay away from refined sugars, processed wheat; while eating a diet rich in whole foods I don't have any problems. Your mileage may vary.
