A disturbing video showing police assaulting an unruly fan is making its rounds on the web on Monday morning. The video, captured by blogger Erik, shows a man leaving section 235 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
The fan was swearing and refused to leave the park, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and eventually had to be escorted out by police. That's when the video -- and the drama -- begins. The fan, named Scott James Ashley, went to high-five another fan but was blocked by a PNC Park security guard.
Ashley shoved the guard, which prompted police to take out their Tasers. The Taser shock had no effect on Ashley, prompting an officer to hit him in the shoulder with a nightstick. Still, there was no reaction from Ashley, who appeared to tell the officer, "Don't hit me."
The officer administered another blast from the Taser and three more nightstick blows to the shoulder, lower back and legs of Ashley. Still, the fan appeared to be relatively unfazed. "During the incident, Detective [Francis] Rende wrote in his complaint, both officers feared for their safety," the Post-Gazette reported.
Though Ashley never posed any physical threat to the police, two officers then relentlessly struck him with their nightsticks until finally subduing and handcuffing him. You can watch the video here (though as a warning, some may find the footage to be disturbing).
While the Pittsburgh police may have to deal with a future case for using excessive force, UFC president Dana White ought to sign Ashley up for the next pay-per-view event. That guy can take a beating and keep on ticking.

It shows the whole incident. Watch the video. Whatever happened upstairs before this is pretty much non-issue. He was peacefull and co-operating.

You were there?
Do you have the missing video footage up until the time that this video starts?
I am going to assume that the answers will be "No" and "No," so now I will ask how do you know this?
Most of you commenting in this thread disgust me.
I do not advocate police brutality, and from what I can see of this incident, it was not warranted at all. I don't even like cops.
However I cannot come to a 100% conclusion of "Guilty- Hang Em All!!!!" without knowing all the facts. You guys see a 2 minute video, and already gathering up the Lynch Mob.
This attitude, is why our government is so F&*$%#*.
It is people just like most of you, that gives TPTB the reason to do the things they do.
But, you cannot see that and I am just a f*%^)# idiot.

If I did that to someone else for any reason at all, it would be considered deadly force. So my question now is... was the level of force warranted? I would have to say no. Deadly force is not acceptable unless there is a threat to your life. What did this man do that warranted deadly force? Not move fast enough? Talk back? Push someone? Last time I checked none of those things caused someone else to die... but striking a person in the head with a night stick on the other hand, has.

I do know the facts, I just watched them on that video, if there had been anything to mention up the stairs that made any difference he would have been beaten, cuffed and arrested up there, the fact that he wasn't indicates he was nothing but a minor disturbance at that point.
And it's people LIKE YOU that enables this type of police behavior, open your eyes and your mind and give me a break, thanks.

Ok, so what could there have happened before this downstairs incident that warranted the behaviour? Name even one single thing please. We see all of the relevant part of the video and if you cannot see that then I feel for you.
