If you were in charge of a comparable force to that of the USA, how would you organize a military land based invasion ultimately?

I personally would first soften up the east and west coasts along with large cities/military bases with artillery fire, navel and sub attacks, bombing, long range missiles, nukes, etc. After sufficient time, this can be greatly dependent on too many factors to come to any conclusive forecast, would run ground based troops north from Mexico and/or south from Canada. The areas in New Mexico and North Central America are not as populated to face immediate resistance. Plan would be to meet somewhere in the middle of the country then head east and/or west to the coasts. Mopping up as they went along.
I have no military experience, does anybody have a better plan of attack?

You'd be amazed at what a treasure trove the internet is for the government. It's the only place where a civilian can out plan and out think the military.. then they just take our ideas, lol.

Tell me how you have arrived to conclude that what you posted is factual? Is it from your vast experience of witnessing said event's? Have you ever even left the town you live in?

No my guess is you have your tinfoil hat on and while waiting for said aliens your living in your parent's attic because the military wouldn't take you because your mentally imbalanced? Did I pretty much summed it up?

The command and control structures have all been upgraded to be protected from a Massive EMP attack. Our Grids well that's another story. Here is the Problem with invading America. You had better learn to speak English and get along with it's citizens because every single man and woman is armed AND can shoot accurately. That is why the Japanese Empire dismissed it altogether. 2. Then I would place all the leaders on the Interpol list as war criminals.

To be quite frank I would never invade the United States. There are many problems with the invasion. One would not only have to worry about the United States Military, but also the citizens. The second amendment was the best defense this nation could ever ask for. The possibility of every single citizen owning a gun would seriously hinder any invasion attempt.

Come on thats too easy with 50 people you could set the United States on fire, either small incindiary devices or Ohio BlueTips. next grease the tracks in Cajon Pass, swamp the emergency and police with calls on Radio Shack throwaway Cells. You could do much more, but that would be aiding the enemy to tell.

Well, I would go to a prestigious law school and slowly work my way up the political ladder. While doing so, I would raise funds on the side to fund my own military operations which would include sending in people to achieve high rankings in all branches of the military. Once that is set, I would run for president. Upon winning, I would then purge congress, or get rid of it all together and use the military, who would then be controlled by my people, to allow me to hold the seat of power over the country.

I would be a fair leader though, not much would change in the form of people's life styles. Although, there would be some major changes like funding for schools police firedept etc etc... I can't think of everything I would do, but I would def do my best to change things for the better haha.... Public Opinion would actually mean something to me too =D

I've though about this before and came to the conclusion that first i would have to be friendly enough with the USA to get close enough to launch an EMP(undetectable and untraceable) in the upper atmosphere above the U.S. to wipeout all their defensive capability. Once America has returned to the dark ages i would then bomb all important goverment building(white house, pentagon, military training facilities, ect..). Then launch a Neutron bomb to kill off most of population and any survivors would be able to join me or be released back into the "wasteland" to die. once everyone has either died or joined me then i would proceed to restore America just under my rule muahahahaha........

I disagree. The United States has more combat vet civilians than any country in the entire world. Many of them ex special forces. The US military would be the least of their worries. I'm sure that stat will get twisted and we shall all be called murder's.That's like kids throwing rocks.

I would attack their monetary system by creating vast quantities of counterfeit money which I would import to their country using covert agents and methods.

While debasing their currency, I would then use those same covert agents and methods to arm insurgent/terrorist groups.

I would use the terrorist groups to destroy major infrastructure and cause further financial panic.

Then I would offer to have my military come over and help "rebuild"

Once my military was safely ashore, I would launch a coordinated attack using terrorist cells and cruise missiles in a decapitation strike.

Then proceed to carve out a secure front, behind which I could move more men and machinery on to shore.
