Exactly, my friends father is very high up at a big insurance agency, and they recently stopped offering hurricane and earthquake insurance to people who live on fault lines, and coasts. They look at it in a scientific (data driven with real conclusions and variables) and have determined that the bad out weights the good. They also felt that it would saves lives by letting the ideals of this set in, and maybe people will see the reasoning behind it, and be encouraged to move just a little touch inland or off the fault line. www.insure.com...

As soon as the big one hits, magnitude 10+, the survivors are going to say "why did we decide to stay on top of a fault line when everyone was warning us it was a bad idea?"
The mag 10+ will hit sometime this year.

I'd move. It's the wise thing to do. Everyone should know that the big one is overdue and there are signs already that it will happen soon. Moving now is not stupid. It's the wise thing to do. Unless you don't mind a quake and want to risk it or experience it. Oh the profanities...

So, you're opening up your home to a few evacuees, right? RIGHT? Because you wouldn't make suggestions like this without solutions, right? RIGHT?

Also, California is about 800miles long. Are you under the impression a quake will destroy the whole state? The last big one trashed some of downtown SF, not the whole state. Get some perspective.

I check USGS almost everyday & I see those little
1.5 & 2 mags all throughout the SA fault all week,
while not exactly a expert I assume this is relieving
pressure along the fault. Keeps a balance, maybe?

BTW, California is an economic train-wreck &
3rd world hell-hole & that's enough to drive me way, IF I had the funds.

I thought the giant quake was at the beginning of of April?
Well someone better get these dates straightened out, people got to be tired of packing and unpacking.

I heard May 21st, that seems to be the date everyone is busy. Is this the re-schedule date?

I'll look for a link, but I've read that the SA is only capable
of 7.5 - 8 mag.

Not to bash the OP too much, but is there something specific about ATS that draws in the wanna-be prophets of doom?

Sam, thank you for the advice! However, we believe that with the protection of Yahweh we will continue to occupy here in Orange County, CA (6 miles from the beach at Huntington Beach and about 10 min. from Disneyland). After moving here to CA in 1981 a lady that sold me her sofa said that she was leaving because of a predicted earthquake. Do not know where she went but I am still here damaged by A LOT of things but NOT earthquakes! There was a Whittier quake and I thought about moving my two kids back to the Rockies. (They did not want to go.)
I have found that the B.I.B.L.E. = Best Instructions Before Leaving Earth

THERE IS DIVINE PROTECTION THROUGH EARTHQUAKES !
Leviticus 18 states that those who break Yahweh's commands and defile the land will be "vomited out" by it, Verse 25 , and "spued out", Verse 28 Those who live the way Yahweh wants will be protected!

After reading these verses I knew that Yahweh protects His own wherever they live. No more move to a more safe state. No where else I ever lived could I pick ripe tangerines from our own tree. So, does this mean that our neighbors are believers like us? Sadly, no. In fact, after 21 years most of the originals cannot stand us either because of our great home and/or our beliefs. Those closest to us in distance after ten years, turned out NOT to to be a she and a he but a he (looking like a she) and a he with two adobted children, one now an obvious homosexual.
They also happen to be drug dealers. flame: Another neighbor (a woman head of nursing) was mad because we asked to have her cat that she was not caring for. She then put him to sleep. The stories could go on and on!
Sam, you are right. Judgement is coming! We are now 82 and 63. If we were younger and had children, we would have moved yesterday! Now, we will believe, wait, and see what Yahweh will do! Maybe we will have island property on the coast!
: Be sealed with the Names of the Father and Son (Yahweh and Yahshua) and you, too, will survive forever! Revelation 14:1 Yahshua is coming SOON and no NWO can stop Him! HalleluYah! This ancient Hebrew word means "Praise ye Yah". Shalom in Them!

WOW! Hilarious bet this doesn't happen to you often_ I posted this a few weeks ago to help the victims of Japan, and other areas of devastation. It's a web site to help people relocate to everyday people's homes who can afford to spare a bedroom. It's called disasterrelocation.org and here is my original post: www.abovetopsecret.com...

So, if it happens my team (family) and I will be working to help those in California any way possible and we have numerous people who have already signed up.

Mods just making a point-remove the above lines if necessary.

I did not say a doomsday prediction here, I stated some very clear facts that people in California are not paying attention to, and that is that you're all on a big boat floating over the Pacific rim shaking about everyday-and all night long. I think the people of California are now in the same state as the people of Japan, they are so used to earthquakes that many (if not most judging by the populous of Cali that responded to this thread) people from Cali aren't heeding the warnings.

I'm still curious why you are referring to the entire state of California. Do you think a quake could destroy the entire state? Or even a significant portion of it?

There are more fault lines California to count that's why, I'm not really focusing on the San Andreas, I'm talking about "all of them":

there are faults all around the world. What makes you think 'all' the fault lines in california will release at once? And will it stop at their border? People in AZ, OR and NV will be okay?

I'm literally 3 weeks into my move to LA. I knew the danger, but I also am not going to live in fear. If I die in a catastrophe, then at least I did it following my dreams.

The real danger isn't the SA fault, IMO. There is a huge fault line off the coast that will do far more damage. Hopefully I live far enough inland to avoid the major problems. Plus I live on one of the tallest hills of them all, and this big rock ain't going anywhere.
