Tried to Hire a Homeless Man Today

Makes perfect sense to me. He's accepted what his life is. And within the bounds of that life he makes day-to-day decisions just like we do...they're just different. He weighed the costs and the benefits and opted not to get off his corner and go to some strangers home to rake and bag leaves for possibly hours. Your view of his life and your expectation of his needs and gratitude and his view just aren't the same.

Here's a cost analysis your hungry, you work, you eat. How hard is it to rake leaves. Most people give money cause their mentally unstable and dont want to be involved in the unknown. Should have food kitchens so they so people dont have to give then money.

Thereby ensuring that those who actually are hungry and have no idea what to do have to rely on a system that is overwhelmed and where they will be constantly abused. All your attitude does is push those who actually are suffering into a life of prostitution, thieving, or selling drugs because "the system" is so ridiculously underfunded and riddled with potholes that it might as well not even exist.

No one has to go hungry...

If they would rather starve then stop doing illegal activitys then theres a problem way bigger than just handing them money with no stipulations would solve.

Homeless people... even the delusional... still know where to get a free meal, If they feel like putting up with "the system". If they dont then there are still many other places like churches where they can decive people for food while stealing things to feed their drug addiction of choice.
