Ok, I have never written in this forum before, so mods please move if necessary.

I can across a video a video, that I would like to present, and am actually looking for some info/theories about what was happening here.

This is a video that was taken during that funeral of "Lady Bird Johnson" (en.wikipedia.org...), she was the wife of Lyndon B. Johnson the former President of the U.S.

Here is the video, and below are some of the names of those in attendance at this day.

Here are some the names of some that were in attendance.

Nancy Reagan, Rosalynn Carter, Jimmy Carter, Laura Bush, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, (second row) Caroline Kennedy, Barbara Bush, Susan Ford Bales, (third row) Maria Shriver, and Patricia "Tricia" Nixon Cox attended, representing eight presidential families (excluding the Johnsons and counting George H.W. Bush's family and George W. Bush's family separately).

en.wikipedia.org...

I know this is far fetched, but I also know that I have never seen so many people doing this gesture outside a heavy metal concert. We all seen this gesture and some of us have our own thoughts on what it means. Just thought it was weird, and wanted the opinions of others, or if anyone has seen this done at someone else's funeral before.
Also I was wondering if there was any significance about the song as well. Thanks in advance.

Peace, NRE.

According to Wikipedia it's supposed to ward off bad luck. Maybe they all just thought that she rocked?

I believe that Lady Bird Johnson attended the University of Texas at Austin.
It appears to be the Longhorn marching band playing.
Ima go out on a limb and say they're making the Longhorn hand signal in honor of her alma mater.

That's one very expensive funeral . The hand gesture they are using " or attempting to use " is the symbol of love , it can easily be mistaken for the 666 gesture

Yeah.... Ya scared me there for a minute.

Until I rememberd She's a Texan. Hook_'em_Horns

Maybe the founders created it out of something sinister though.

Yes, that is a possibility, though she seemed to flip flop often during her school years, I mean she attended the University in 1930, and they still decided to show the horns for her funeral when she was 94?

I wonder how many people actually love their schools that much?

Peace, NRE.

Yes, that's the Eyes of Texas being played and the hook 'em horns sign (they represent the horns of Longhorn Cattle - UT Longhorns). Did you know that the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is in Austin (not just named for her, she was the driving force behind it)? And the LBJ Presidential Library is at the University of Texas at Austin. The Johnson's had very close ties to Texas, Austin, and UT.

University of Texas-Austin

Throw them Horns Up!

She was from there, the band was playing, they were just "throwing the horns up!"

Probably a combo of what everyone above says. I remember going on trips cross country with my folks as a kid in the family car. We had a Marriage Encounter sticker on the back windshield and I remember occasionally people would drive by flashing the same gesture. Folks told me it meant love.

Im trying to get the pics posted, but the gesture is for all that was mentioned, but how you have your hands, the way you pose them, and where your thumb is makes all of them different. BTW, even if it is for Texas, I do find it funny that even the priests are doing it.

Peace, NRE.

Yes that is the symbol for love, when your thumb is extended out, as you can see in the vid no ones thumbs are doing that.

Peace, NRE.

I have to say that I am quite surprised that this thread went the route it did. I have been here quite a long time, and I have had replies that dont match, meaning almost everyone had a different opinion. If I did not write the name of the person who died, I think it would have went a different route.

We as a conspiracy site have seen some strange things and I have to say that the gestures, the people in attendance, and the possibilities dont match for me. This gesture is used by many for various reasons, and I find it hard to comprehend that a former first lady, with the background she has, can have this happen at her funeral after she had not attended the school since the 30's.

BTW, I thought I might add that in the 30's the symbol was non existent. Here is a snippet from the University of Texas, oh and the song they played was irrelevant too.

The University of Texas has many traditions.

The Hook 'em Horns hand gesture is a recognized symbol for the Texas university, and has been since the head cheerleader began using it in 1955.
Since 1903, the song "The Eyes of Texas" has been the school's alma mater, and is sung at all the games.
The Longhorn Band is another staple of UT; called "the Showband of the Southwest," they are one of the most accomplished university bands and make athletic games even more exciting.
Bevo, a Texas Longhorn, is the Texas university's mascot. He has been the mascot since 1916, though the actual longhorn is replaced from time to time.

If and only if this gesture pertained to her and her love for a school that she attended, why would it not be the one that was relevant when she attended?

Peace, NRE.

hey, i'm not saying that there might not be a dual meaning to all of it!
who knows?! it could have been the perfect opportunity to show off not only the sign of UT but also pledge allegiance to their dark, secret, society of elitist!

i can walk out on that ledge....but walk right back on in.

in reality, it was the UT marching band and i'm sure it was benign.
but with that crowd....

I am sure that the above answer would fly.... on another site. I say there is more to this and yes, I have presented it in the above.

Peace, NRE.

Well I would say that many claimed to know exactly what it was, and now it is irrelevant.

I say that this was an opportunity, that was disguised as something else.

That is what I am looking into, but this may have been something blatant, and purposeful if not viewed correctly.

That's my purpose for the thread.

Peace, NRE.

Yep, UT band playing. She was a longhorn and that is the sign that longhorn fans put up Hook Em Horns!
