Transformer explosions

this looks similar but its a small one, I doubt it would be bright as in the video

Here a few videos of transformers going. Pretty similar no?

This could easily happen multiple times during an earthquake. Also notice how the power goes out immediately afterwards.

We had a transformer blow during a storm behind our house at night. It lit up the entire house through the kitchen window. People saw the flash from about a mile away. It could have also been a substation. Those are incredibly bright. We had a snake get into one and short it out. People thought someone dropped a bomb on us. It's significant that the power went out for part of town a short time after the explosion. Losing power does not bode well for any nuclear plants in the area though. It doesn't have to be anything super spectacular for it to be incredibly bad news for anyone there.

I've seen a transformer blow and it sure does look a lot like this. +1 for blown transformer. Yes, it's bright.

while the blue light looks similar there are a couple of problems. First, there is no lightning strike in Japan's site, secondly the blue light lasts a lot longer than what your video shows.

WHAT??? OK...

Look, it's HAARP. Run for the hills!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI, when tornadoes hit transformers and substations at night, you'll see the exact same phenomenon as what was seen during the EQ.

Characteristics of Earthquake Lights

Earthquake lights occur before, during and after earthquakes. They are cool and quiet, colored white or blue or red. They are usually dim, but sometimes are brighter than moonlight.

They take various forms: globes, bands, rays, sheets, clouds. They tend to rise from the ground. They have been reported at sea. They may flicker or shine steadily. They may be silent or accompanied by a crackling or bristling sound. Sometimes light boils from the ground like flames. They may be as brief as lightning or glow for several minutes.

Earthquake lights have been accompanied by low-frequency radio noise in the 10 to 20 kHz range.

Earthquake lights have been seen weeks before or after earthquakes and hundreds of kilometers from the epicenter. They are more common in areas of hard, crystalline rocks and near dip-slip rather than strike-slip faults.

There is a difference in exploding and some thing that dead shorts the wires! I never mentoined haarp in relation to this. Don´t mess with my knowledge because its way off your comprehension in physics and specialy electrotechniques!

actually there would be a explosion and a huge fireball when it explodes and the oil mixes with the air. There is no explosion.

I will quote myself, especially this part:

There is no explosion.

Answer my question, do you really see a explosion or a flash of light?
If you see a flash of light, like I do, of course it could be from a transformator, but not a transformer that goes "boom" like you said. So who´s wrong now? Think about the words you type before hitting enter. Words have a meaning, you can not mix them up

what proof do you have that it wasn't based on your own interpretation of a video.

oh, none.

I just watched this on prisonplanet like 25 minutes ago. I think its powerlines, thats all. before the bright blue light, look to the left of it..thiers dimmer bluish flashes goin off too. powerlines* the bright one on the horizon, wa prob a trasnformer or something on the fritz. of course, where i live, when the trasnformers do go, they blow up with a huge rattling bang* and might spark for a second or 2, but its orange and yellow sparks, never blue. maybe different trasnformers in japan? its electrical..that i bet.

look at the video. MSM tells you its a transformer? how stupid can we be. the sky lights up from different directions then there is a ball that stays there. a huge ball of light. in the sky. not at the top of a pole. that is the horizon you see. im irritated already and this thread just started. look im not saying i know what it is, but that is a pretty big transformer then ehh? and not just one transformer but it looks like several from different directions. ok yea just a transformer. what is with people that are like "oh its nothing" or how about looking at the video and drawing your own conclusions, and not listening to some pundit on the tele. some people just are born and bred to dis-inform, distract, and argue - with or without proof.

so I say again what proof do you have that it was a transformer? oh none.

Agreed with most of that, although transformers do kind of look like that when they pop (colour, arcing etc), they are not this big.

In any case, i too saw what appeared to be about 5 or 6 other large 'explosions' jumping around the video, seconds before the main sphere of electric blue light.

The lights went out in the city below, radiating away from the main 'explosion', so it's fairly safe to assume whatever it was, it caused a power outage, starting at it's location.

This could be a series of transformers popping all over the place, and then a main station going..

But what are the chances this was a real world EMP test fire? I'd be interested to know if just main power went, or *all* electronics, including mobiles went as well.

Cheers for posting.

Personally, I believe it was an earthquake light. Yes, it's not that common,
but it is a natural phenomenon accompanying some earthquakes. I have no
idea whether this earthquake was natural or not, but I don't think
it was a transformer (it was way too bright and long-lasting in my opinion),
and I don't think it was HAARP either. I mean, wouldn't they
be more careful about it, if that is the case?

Just watched the footage on Sky News, and they specifically mentioned "what scientists refer to as earthquake lights" in respect of the white ball of light on the horizon.

Although i would have assumed this was an electrical facility blowing, as other do here.

Interesting they take the eartquake lights view, though. And very casually said, as if it's not an unusual thing to see......

I've seen multiple transformers on poles and relay stations blow. They look just like that. I worked as an Industrial Electrician for a while in my youth. You folks are trying way to hard to invent this stuff. They also make a boom that will rattle your windows.

If you care, send some money to help. They need it and they are our real friends. Fussing over every little video won't help anything.

i cant afford to send money, but i do care, and care about the planet, and i take intrest in what is going on in the world.and do you know the truth about whats happening in the world or the state of the planet, coz we will be last to know unless we try and keep upto date with what is happening...u cant tell me sumthing aint right??
