Most of it's probably just to keep people in a perpetual state of fear and suspense. Keep them looking to the future and fearing instead of being focused on the here and now.

actually I am calling HOAX on this one, I can't seem to find this "John Malley" anywhere outside of the artical. Surely the lead ET expert of SETI would be easy to find. Perhaps he's been abducted by aliens.

This story is 100% a hoax and already been debunked many times and this particular type of thread on the subject has been thrown into the hoax bin many times.

If this discussion is inferring that I, Craig Kasnoff, (and not Craig Kasnov) have made an announcement regarding 'large rapidly approaching Earth', then that is just plain false.

I have not been involved in any announcement of that kind at all. However, if there is a 'Craig Kasnov' who is a 'SETI astrophysicist', then you will all have to take that up with him.

Anyway, this post may, or may not have, made any contribution to the discussions of 'objects flying towards Earth'. But I hope it clears up any question regarding my involvement this announcement.

I have no involvement in it.

I just have to ask.....that story you "found" is a HOAX, absolutely no question about it. (A simple "ATS search" would have easily uncovered the 'Jerusalem UFO' hoaxed video, that accompanies that article....THAT is a big red flag, from the start). Being fairly new to the Boards, though....will result in many such repeats ---- since many of us have seen this same nonsense, over and over and over again.....

So, am asking: Presumably you didn't intentionally set out to pepetuate this hoax, but....were you actually convinced that this "might" have been factual, in any way??

And, if "yes" to that question....then, I can only :shk: ..... and say, what has happened to people's abilities to think and reason critically, any more???

I don't know if it's a hoax or not for sure, though with many reasons and my gut I will guess hoax on this article.

I will say this though, I have had A LOT of very vivid dreams about gigantic spaceships in the sky over the past 2-3 years, one of which was quite recent and struck me quite hard, I was flipping out in the dream and I woke up in the morning feeling pretty shook.

Is it just my over active imagination? Just a random dream? Memories of past/future lives? I have no idea... but my eyes will be watching the sky...

Haha, I've actually never watched that show... but the countless movies, other shows, cartoons and this crazy site might have something to do with it haha.

However, it's going to take a lot more than that to make me disregard my dreams and how they make me feel.

I have an open mind and i think for myself. I have a bigger mind and look at the BIGGER picture in this world. Human life can not be the only life in this vast universe ! No way ! Do you honestly think that we humans are that AMAZING and HONOURED to grace existance?

Mr WeedWhacker...i have been reading posts on this site for years are YOU are one of the main debunkers on ATS..you have your oppinions and others have there's....Granted people need the truth and hopefully one day we will get it.
