I live in Kentucky as well and I can tell you about a few things that I've seen, but I don't have any evidence. I live near Berea (if you know where that is, lol) and I spend a lot of times outside on clear nights, watching for satellites and shooting stars, etc. I just love sky watching. A couple years ago, my sis and I (she watches with me, usually) kept seeing tiny little lights zipping across the sky. They flashed and moved around sporadically... very VERY fast! They looked to be at about the same altitude as satellites, but I can't say for sure since it's impossible to judge distance. Sometimes there would only be one... sometimes there would be three or more at a time. They circled around and turned at right angles, etc. We still don't know what they were and we haven't seen them in quite a while. We still look though!
Near the end of last year, I was at Walmart in Berea and while I was loading my stuff into my car, I saw a stationary green light hovering in the sky. It didn't move or blink at all. I watched it for about 30 seconds and then it just disappeared. It could have been anything, I guess, but it didn't act like anything I know of that would be in the sky.
If I think of more, I'll be sure to post.
...the events at Hopkinsville in Kentucky, 1955, are regarded as one of the most significant, well-known and well-documented cases in the history of UFO incidents, and a favorite for study in ufology, as witnesses there included policemen and state troopers, and were taken seriously enough as to be officially investigated by the United States Air Force...
...Paintsville, Kentucky,-At exactly 2:47 AM, on January 14, 2002, while working a coal train in route from Russell, Kentucky to Shelbiana, Kentucky, our trailing unit and first two cars were severely damaged as we struck an unknown floating or hovering object...

Thanks for the replies guys. Yea tonight I was outside just looking around the sky for like 20 minutes. Is there some certain direction I should look , how to look or what? Is there a way to find/see them or are they just freak things?

Hey, I'm from the Elizabethtown area.
If you want to search activity in Kentucky you could try www.nuforc.org... You can search by state there.
I've personally seen a triangular shaped craft hovering above a field in Elizabethtown. It was the mid 90s and I was headed home when I spotted it at around 2:00 am EST hovering silently over a piece of farmland. It was hovering a few hundred feet above the tree tops near the creek and it was massive. The first thing I spotted were the pulsating lights, three orange-white lights and then a bright white one in the center. I couldn't make out the shape of the craft at first but after a few seconds of looking at it I could make out the edges illuminated by the lights against the night sky. That's when I realized how massive the object was, if it had landed it would have easily dwarfed the field that it was hovering over. It was easily the size of a football field, maybe larger. The object made no sound as it hovered there and the lights at each point seemed to...pulsate and shift from orange to white.
Two police officers with the Elizabethtown PD reported seeing the object too and it was mentioned in The News-Enterprise. Supposedly the FBI investigated the sighting and debunked it as reflections off the clouds originating from fireworks being set off during the Heartland Festival.
So very wrong.
The festival was over at roughly 11:00 PM. I spotted this object at 2:00 AM and the sky was clear where I was at. This object has been spotted in the area since then as well, just do a search at the nuforc site for triangular shaped craft in Kentucky and you'll come across an entry where it was spotted over Freeman Lake.
When I have time between designing ads I'll see if I can search through the paper archives for the article so I can scan it in and post it since no online search in our database has turned up the article.
Good luck!

HI. If you are serious about trying to spot "UFO's I'd suggest that you first familiarize yourself with what is in the sky nightly first. Read up a little bit on basic astronomy for starters, that will save you quite a few "false alarms". How the planets move and their magnitude differ, and many people mistakenly think they are seeing a UFO. In addition, Google "Stellarium" and download it. It's free and can help you identify any celestial objects in the sky if there is any questions.
Know your surroundings. Are you near an airport? Military base? If so, get accustomed to the flight schedules, patterns, etc.
Home that helps! Have fun!
And btw, no, in my time here in Kentucky, or anywhere else for that matter, I've not seen one object that I could not identify.
