The secretary general of Sudan today said the west is targeting Sudan because of it's wealth, humanity, and values. He makes a call to the Sudanese
people to face this challenge. He rebukes the western accusations of genocide and ethnic cleansing.

The NC's secretary-general has affirmed Sudan's unity, people and government, in condemning the lies and allegations which are being circulated by
some Western bodies about the existence of ethnic cleansing and genocide in Darfur.
In a press conference he held today at the party's HQ, he said Sudan objects to Darfur becoming a new front for foreign interference.

The UN has said there may be more than 30,000 dead in Sudan as a result of troops directly under the control of the government. THe crisis started
earlier this year when a leaked UN report stunned the world with details of systematic rapes and murder by government troops. The UN thus far hasn't
declared the events genocide, if they do they will be forced to take action.
