Science: "21% Chance of Increase in Global Terrorism as a Direct Result of Intervention in Libya"

An academic paper produced by the U of Illinois a year ago found that there was a 21% probability of an increase in global terrorism following a small-to-medium sized military intervention in a foreign country.

Drs. Seung-Whan Choi and Matthew Powers of the University of Illinois used negative binomial regression of data from 165 countries covering the time period 1968 to 2005 to predict the probability of increases in terrorism following a foreign military intervention.

It recommended that terrorism could be constrained by either (a) not intervening at all, or, (b) intervening only with overwhelming and massive force.

no where does it say as a direct result. Your title is very misleading. And this seems like alot of bull#. Science can't predict the way a human mind will react to a current situation. this thread reeks of bull#
