i hope this is the right place for this, as I am not sure at all what to call it.

i am reaching out to the ATS community because searching the internet turns up no answers really.

ok so here goes.

does anyone sense animals before they appear? I get a feeling sometimes that tells me to be on the lookout for animals, whether i am driving or outside, or just looking out the window. Almost to be on alert. and whenever I get that feeling I do see animals.

it sounds weird, but i have no idea how I am getting these senses. I would like to learn more about it, and figured ATS would be a good place to ask others on their experience/expertise.

is this some sort of psychic connection?

I do have a few pets and feel pretty connected to them (sometimes i think, they think, i'm an animal too haha)

but why would I get a sense of wild animals?

sorry so many questions. let's recap, and if you have experience with this or have had this happen to you, please answer!

do you get a feeling or sense of "you are going to see an animal, be on the lookout"
is this a psychic connection?

and if you have links to resources on this subject please let me know! i would really appreciate it!

thanks =)

I can sense spiders, one disappeared once, and then I found it under my shoe...squashed.

this happens with my own cat pretty often, just picture her and start thinking about her and she usually walks in the room right after.

That happens to me some times, oddly enough, and i don't really like animals, some of them scare me

I don't know what it is, but i'm thinking it's some thing spiritual, everything on this earth is connected.

Excellent question!!!

I have noticed, especially while driving, something tells me to slow down or possibly take another route to my destination.

When I do NOT "heed" these "feelings" I usually regret it.

But yes, I do sense animals on & off road; although I do not know why.

I have always wondered why this happens. But still have no answer.

It would also would be good to note-for whatever reason animals like me for some strange reason.

Even animals that hate everybody. They love me. I don't why this is either. But it just is what is...I guess.

glad i am not the only one wondering!

i've had that happen as well. animals that like no one come right up to me. its very weird.

maybe they sense we are good people and they feel safe coming up to us?

Yes. i was kinda thinking that as well. all of the energies on earth could be connected. and the animals are choosing who they want to communicate to.

I do it with deer all the time while driving. They tend to sense me out as well as they will often stand by the road rather than run out in front of me. But not always. But I also tend to kick up a deer or two while walking in the woods as well. Often times coming very close before they realize I am there. Could be that they know that I mean them no harm and am not actively hunting them.

Rabbits on the other hand, tend to notice me long before I notice them.

Yes some people have almost uncanny awareness of their surroundings, others not so much. I remember I worked at rather loud factory in my youth. It was their that I met a man from Tibet who practiced martial arts and long story short, we use to try and sneak up on him from behind but no matter what he would jump around in defensive stance.

You could not get within striking distance of this guy and it was not him seeing shadows or hearing you approach. I think he said something about animals and peoples eyes send out energies that you can train to detect. I assume it's like heat detection of sorts.

Cheers to you for reminding me of that guy and his explanation.

almost as if they want to see you! its very interesting. just last evening i got that feeling and looked out my window into the woods, and saw a deer. came up very close to the window & i was just watching him for a little.

they must know we dont mean them harm or they would hide

that is really interesting. he could tune into everything. i wouldve tried to sneak up on him too.

that raises another interesting question, are the people who sense things like animals also hard to sneak up on?

i wouldnt say I am as skilled as the guy you mentioned, but come to think of up, no one can really sneak up on me. my dad has always tried to do that for as long as I can remember and it just doesnt work. ha

I do that, too. When my internal "deer radar" goes up, I just have to pay attention. It hasn't been wrong yet...

Definitely.

Sometimes I will be driving, and I sense something. Seconds later, I will see a white owl fly past my car.

It is believed that this means to be prepared and cautious.

Hi! I was at a horse seminar once for natural horseman ship. One horse there was nuts. It kicked its owner in the leg right next to the man's privates before lunch. After lunch, the lecturer was going to work with the animal for a demonstartion. Something about the horse made me get up out of my lawn chair in the arena and leave for the other side of the fence. Five minutes later the horse flipped out of control completely. It was doing the all four leggs bucking thing and people and their horses were running to get out of the arena, the horse broke loose from the trainer and was all over the place! I have been very lucky not to have been kicked, bit, or thrown off in 44 years. If your know animals you can sense when their mood changes. The squirrels, owls, birds on our land and the dogs in the field behind us reconize our voices and show no fear. Hummingbirds will get within four feet of me
to eat off the flowers and the bird feeder. My dogs will tell me things with their body language and barks.
I am better at knowing who it is that phones before I pick it up. My husband thinks that is weird, but people have their patterned behavior. I guess I pick up on that somehow. I am usually correct.

Animals are very in tune with their surroundings, something many humans loose with out artificial environments. Their signals are what you pick up on. A person's precognitive ability(if it is strong enough) gives them the power to receive these signals better.

It was funny last night. I was driving home & had that animal radar thing go off. Then I got to thinking I was just paranoid because of my reply to this earlier in the day. I slowed down anyway-just in case.

30 secs later two deer pop in front of my car. I had slowed down enough to not hit them. If I hadn't & they stayed on their path & time...I would've hit at least one of them.

So, maybe second guessing that weird feeling-NOT a good thing.

The story about the Tibetan martial arts dude is interesting. Except people who sneak up on me-scare me. Animals don't. & usually people only scare me when I'm very distant in thought.

Why animals seem to like me-maybe because I stink & they like the odor.. LOL!

Seriously have no clue why they do.

wow all the contributes to this thread surprised me! when I first started it i thought maybe I was just weird.

but a few of us, and I am sure more share this ability.

I do appreciate all the insight I have gained from other members on their experiences.

I have noticed a lot recently birds seem to be very unafraid of me, but fly away soon as someone else is around.

perhaps because I say hello to them? =)

Also today I was looking into the woods while going to the store, and I could swear a deer was staring at me, Like it knew I was looking for it. perhaps he sensed me?

I am glad that some of us haven't lost our connection to nature!
