I was tooling around and I found this.
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/34754000991a.jpg[/atsimg]

I started watch the video and I thought, Ssssi...t... Not too bad...

And then came dinner. Todays-and talking about past ones. Ugh.

WARNING: The Reporter is given some of the best parts to eat.... and, one doesn't want to offend. You have been warned.

Very interesting insight on the mind set of the ones who have eaten Humans (both male and female-you'll hear for yourself)

Enjoy:

This is bollox OP. The reporter foes NOT eat human flesh, if you had paid attention it was a PIG.
Only Some of the elders ever tried human flesh, and it was not even part of their contemporary culture.
Very misleading, and at worst completely false thread.
Epic Fail.

Bull, I didn't say he did, or indicate that he did.

I found it extremely tough to watch hiim do what he did. Would you? And, wasn't he offered the some of the best of that meal?

Nasty stuff!!

Have you ever seen the movie '' Welcome to the Jungle'' ( not the one with The Rock ) it's another lower budget movie, but it's full on and very similar to your thread topic - here is the trailer;

It's got some graphic and gruesome scenes throughout the movie and well worth watching.

Also, oddly enough i saw this in the news today -

'Cannibal' guilty of murdering flatmate

Monday, April 04, 2011 » 12:04pm

A self-confessed cannibal has been found guilty of murdering his former flat mate.

Robert Ian Logan, 23, had pleaded not guilty in the Supreme Court in Brisbane to murdering Ben Huntingford on June 21, 2006.

But on Monday, a jury found Logan guilty of what has been described as a "brutal slaughtering" at the home they had shared at Beenleigh, south of Brisbane.

Full Story

Really recommend the movie though, although ill give you a heads up, it's not for the feint hearted!!

Your claim that you did not imply that the tribe was truly cannabalistic and that the reporter ate human flesh is incredibly hard to believe, given the syntax you used, even at a second and third glance.

He was given a pork tenderloin cooked by campfire. And an eyeball lol but that's neither here nor there.

I am not trying to goad you into an argument, i simply believe the thread to be written in a sensationalist and very misleading manner.

Oh and would I have eaten the pork? Don't really like pig but I would have only been grossed out by the eyeball..ew..

Can you be 100% it was pork.... hmm...

To be honest i hope it was only pork. There are still cannibal tribes out there though. To be honest i wouldn't want to be the one to find them.

They said it was a pig they were eating there is nothing wrong with this in my mind; sorta cruel to say OP that they were eating humans and then it turns out they weren't!

In all honesty, this aint that bad. The dude ate a piece of pork that was bbq'ed in the ground. In the south, well, thats usually done every weekend. The eyeball thing might be a bit far for me but you should take a look at Anthony Bourdain's show, No Reservations, on the travel channel when he went to Namibia I believe and ate a warthog's anus (litteraly) that was very, very fresh lets just say. In fact, I feel sick just thinking about it again.

In fact, after a quick google search you get this gem

Did you watch the entire clip?

They were sitting there eating pork and also an eye ball
yuck!!

However further on he is talking with the tribesman about them eating Humans earlier in their lives. If you read the OP it doesnt actually say the reporter is eating Human meat... although it is a little misleading but still the OP never actually states the reporter is eating Human meat. Thank goodness!!!!!

Makes me cringe the thought of it

The video reminded me of a show that was on ITV.

Here is one example of it ,from the "im a celebrity get me out of here" series, shown in the UK.
They are just as bad and include " delicacies " such as eyeballs, genitals, anus etc this particular episode is the 2010 final eating challenge
mmmm anus

HEY! I love Andrew Zimmern, I was addicted to watching his shows.

To the OP, The video won't load for me, it just spins in never-ending circles. My internet is so slow this time of the month
What's the story? Did he eat flesh or some other people said a pig and an eyeball?

I saw this show last night on the National Geographic Channel. It's some tribe in Papua New Guinea. Only a few of the tribe's elders ever ate human flesh, and basically only did it when they were kids. Christian missionaries put a stop to it.

One of the elders said he tried human flesh when he was 6 years old, but didn't know what it was. Only when he was much older did his parents tell him it was human.

Another said he had eaten 2 humans, a man and a woman. The host asked him if there was any difference in taste in male or female, he said they tasted the same. He also said humans taste like pork.

It's definitely pork he's eating in that video. They spent about 20 minutes of the show on butchering and cooking the pig. He does indeed eat the eyeball, after struggling with it. He spit it out and then ate it again, saying it was chewy and with every chew, the eye would squirt out juices....mmmm, sounds tasty....

I forgot to mention, and I think this warrants an additional post...

One of the elders said they would eat sorcerers who had put spells on people. If someone in the village fell ill, they would do a ceremonial dance to see if the person would live or die. A spirit guide-type being would come to this elder during the dance and she (she had a name, something like Sogeme, but I can't remember) would tell him if the person would live or die. If the spirit said the person would live but they ended up dying, then that meant a sorcerer had put a spell on that person.

To find the sorcerer, they'd do another dance, and the spirit guide would tell the elder who the sorcerer was. Then they'd kill and eat the sorcerer. Christian missionaries stopped the dances, and he said he hasn't seen the spirit guide girl in over 10 years since no one does the dance anymore. Pretty interesting stuff.

The National Geographic special that is posted should prove enlightening for those that did not know that a lot of the south seas, in this case in New Guinea (sp), were the last of the cannibals. Humans were referred to as "LONG PIG".

As for disgusting...nah...been to many a Samoan bbq where the pig was butchered, cooked and served in the same manner and it was excellent...now eating an eyeball (got a little squeemish on that)...but many eat sheep and goat's eyes in Middle East cooking. Rain forest dwellers roast and eat giant bird eating spiders...Chinese eat live scorpions...so I guess when you are a guest, you eat what you are offered to keep respect.

Cannibalism is an ancient practice. Many indigenous peoples practiced it for reasons mostly only known to them for untold generations. Then the missionaries came, and the governments and law enforcement came and those practices stopped. Yes, there are a few around that remember those times, but also realize that in a "civilized" society the practice is not tolerated.
