A little explanation of what the video is about would be greatly appreciated.

Some of us have limited bandwith.

One of my favorite songs.

And probably oil or something along those lines, wars are fought to make money most of the time, so because of money is the answer to your question.

this is exactly why people oppose wars. i just wonder how many people thought it was a good idea untill the body bags started to pile up.

If we have no industry to build things we become a service society.
Things go downhill after that.
If we want to stop using body bags we must rebuild industry so our children are not forced into the military as a way to find a job.
By the way, what is the video about?
I never watched it.

it shows all (maybe not ALL to date) the faces of i assume american soliders who have died so far or upto the date the video was made. and then points out they are not just a number.

If everyone put a price on there lives, maybe then people would come to there senses and realize that it is not worth risking your life for something that isn't going to benefit EVERYONE.

I`m sorry, would you rather my kids come home in grocery bags instead?

Well, maybe you shouldn`t let your kids stay the night at the Addams Family`s house...

Ok, I`ll tell our kids immediately how displeased you are at their failiure to remain alive. Since YOU are tired of it, then perhaps we need to give them more discipline and harder, tougher training.

Oh, well if you`re tired of it maybe you should take a nap and then when you wake up you won`t be tired of it anymore.

There`s 4 smart ass assnswers to hopefully cheer you up a little. Gotta take your mind of the negativity once in a while. These kids knew the risk involved in the "job", they Wanted to shoot a machine gun and maybe even die for their country, and in their minds, that`s what they did, and that`s all that matters for them, if you are having a hard time feeling bad for them then just keep it in mind... There have been wars and warriors all throughout history, and it may not seem like it, but we are actually getting better as far as some things go. I think changes are happening but it will take some more time and effort to see real change you can believe in, lol...

DON'T you EVER attache an LOL while talking about people who have been killed.

A lot of people died so you could mouth off in an internet forum. Spreken zie Deutsch?

I posted the video because I'm sick of Americans coming home dead for wars that we have nothing to do with.

That was all.

1) Be thankful the numbers are as low as they are
2) By the standards of warfare, the number of deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan is practically negligible. This is a miracle by World War II standards. More US troops died in a single morning in Normandy then did in Iraq and Afghanistan combined over an entire decade.
3) War is hell, people die. It's how it goes. Only the dead have seen the end of war. Wars will be fought as long as their are humans to fight in them.

Should that not be something like...

5000 died in 10 years in 2 wars. Going to Afghanistan is safer than driving a car in Germany. In the same timespan, 100.000 Americans died due to gun violence IN America. Thats about how many Americans died on the western front in Europe.

it's a volunteer army. It's not like people are being drafted, although that would be an incentive to make these kids finish high school.

If you run around claiming you are a "soldier" on the street selling drugs and robbing people you should be scooped up and used as military fodder. Just my opinion
