Not saying that this story is true... as there is no other confirmation other then the one source; however bombing a fully fueled nuclear plant in any situation is equivalent to Nuclear War and is not a viable option. It is the insane option.

Okay, so lets leave him and his nuclear reactor alone. We/ve already seen his attitude to the West. Lets see what he does with his reactor.

I just received similar sentiments over on a Japan Nuke disaster thread from people so concerned about Japan they spend days on a 500 page thread.

If it is true it'll be only a matter of time till we get a military made Fukishima or Chernobyl and many patriotic war mongers will applaud it till they cough their lungs up!

France, Argentina, Ukraine and Russia have all signed agreements on the peaceful use of nuclear energy with Libya since its voluntary decision to halt a clandestine uranium enrichment program and fully open itself to IAEA inspections in 2003.

It's been operating since 1981 under the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Do you really believe that the West was not somehow behind the 'rebel' uprising that led up to all this violence? All we have to go on is the media we see. Who knows what is really going on? We in the West certainly have 'form'. Remember the 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' that Iraq had? Or didn't as it turned out.

More than likely the CIA, and MI6/SAS have been on the ground for months if not years in Libya. Why is it that we have not invaded or bombed other countries that don't have the same traditions we do. Don't they cut off people's hands for stealing in Saudi Arabia? (allegedly). How barbaric. Why are we not 'saving' their people from tyranny?

To suggest that Gaddafi would have murdered his entire population is ridiculous. The bottom line is that when you force your own morals on another culture, that's called tyranny, not fighting for freedom.

What NATO are doing in Libya is a crime.

Libya does not have a 'research' reactor. It is a power generator. It does, however, have the capability to enrich Uranium.

Gaddafi was warned recently to stop development of nuclear bomb production. He claimed that he had done so.

If our forces have taken out this reactor it suggest that we didn't believe that he had done so.

Regardless... we shouldn't allow a fruitcake to dabble in nuclear stuff whatever his claimed reason for doing so.

so that should include netanyahoo who is the daddy of all fruitcakes as well as his political phsycopathic buddies. no one stopped israel from developing nuclear weapons.
