A major Earthquake has hit the Island java in Indonesia this morning.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck early Monday in the Indian Ocean south of the Indonesian island of Java RATE THIS POST Too Brief No Substance Poor Grammar & Spelling 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck hits in Indonesia. This has hit other news agencies now, but does not appear to be serious.

I'm not familiar enough with the area's seismic history to know if recent events point to a trend of increasing activity in the area. If this were so, it would correlate with data from other sources.
