Can't Even stand on your Property or keep a basketball hoop

The video pretty much explains things, I am not sure about all the details, but this is just crazy. Don't the police have better things to do? Isn't having basketball hoops available for the kids to play with is better then them going out and drinking and smoking?

But the government worker did lie, she said they could keep it.....and what is with "Go in your house"

If I want to stand on my property and talk, I can do that.

This kind of stuff makes me sick, What the hell has our society come too?

What harm could come from basketball hoops? I suppose it must make more since for, the youth of this generation to hang out in front of a package store..waiting for booze, or smokes..

This really sums it all up doesn't it.

So so sad.

I'm sure that basketball and terrorism somehow are connected.

This was posted yesterday and yes...It's not only disgusting but a little scary.

Problem is, people are not fighting back. They get outraged for a day and then watch reruns of the Simpsons.

I think we should all start, and sign a petition, Then mail it to them.. Let them know how outraged, And disgusted we are..

But thats the problem.. It's a GREAT idea.. But when it comes time to take action and get the work done.. Everyone shuts up, turns deaf, and blind..

This is not how you get REAL results in the world.. We need to fight for what little freedoms we have left. I don't know about the rest of you..But i'm tired of being pushed around..

I LOVE my country..I LOVE the people..I HATE the government..

And no where does it say that being patriotic and American , Means that i have to support BS, And Corruption..

This is all about snooty people and code enforcement. Somewhere either the neighborhood or the city decided it was against code to have a BB hoop on the street. If you don't like it move or get the code changed.

Communities set up all kinds of stupid regulations to please the aesthetic sensibilities of whoever the elected officials are wealthy that support them. I hate these. Your options are to fight or move. When I ran into this I opted to move to a different smaller city that wasn't snooty.

Was it the BTK killer who was code enforcement? I recall one of the really bed serial killers being code enforcement and it doesn't surprise me at all. I refuse to associate with anyone who does that job for a living they are the lowest of scum in my opinion.

Did they (the police-state workers) ever actually state the reason as to why all these terrorist basketball poles had to be hauled off to county lockup? Either way I find it ridiculous! And the lying seriously makes me livid. And some people actually wonder why the police are so hated by the people they are supposed to protect. But as we can see here, once again the police are harassing people rather than protecting them.

Watching that just made me throw up a little bit in my mouth. This is one of those times when a second amendment remedy goes a long way.

I've always hated those gated communities, where you can only have your garage door open certain hours of the day. This doesn't look like that kind of neighborhood though.

I'm sure the 'anon' neighbor is also against any 'socialist' government like, helping the poor, but when it comes to having the gov't come and steal someone's property that's ok.

I have read the U.S. Constitution thoroughly and never recall reading where there is a part that the government can show up and seize property. What somebody should have done was, question the drivers of the equipment and ask them where the court issued order is that allows them to remove the hoops from private property. This is a case where is the surrounding neighbors should rally together and should file a class action lawsuit arguing that the removal of the equipment not only violates the Constitution, but also deprives all the other neighbors of the "pursuit of happiness". I would be curious to see the mayor of that town respond at the next debate for his/her re-election and answer the question of how basketball hoops create a"dangerous environment" within a city and where the amendment is at that states they can prevent the people there from the pursuit of happiness and just seize property without a court order. just my thought.

I believe that they can if National Security is threatened, under terms and conditions of the amazingly misnamed "Patriot Act" which takes away more rights than any other law in history.

This gives them the right of entry and right of search and seizure (even when you're not home) and enables the sorts of searches that the TSA are able to do, all under the guise of National Security.

And the American people thanked George W Bush for providing this act by reelecting him. 60 million Americans couldn't be wrong, twice, could they?

Well, if you are talking about the Patriot Act I understand what you are saying. I guess the basketball hoops could of been planted there by "Al Quieda" and cause a threat to our national security. Remember though, it may have been Bush that signed the Patriot Act into law, but I am yet to see one person in Congress send a bill to the floor that amends the bill nor send the bill to the US Supreme Court to review for the Constitutionality of the law. They are all to blame.
