RIKUZENTAKATA, Japan — Two missing Fukushima nuclear plant workers were found dead on Sunday as more highly radioactive water spilled into the sea and authorities struggled to seal the leak. Japan's Kyodo news agency quoted the Tokyo Electric Power Co., which owns the plant, as saying the workers had been found. No other information of the discovery was given. The workers had been missing since a hydrogen explosion at the plant

Very sad but I think many expected those brave workers would not last..

I dont mean to sound cold hearted but, I am kind of surprised it took this long for the first workers to die. With the radiation levels as high as they are I thought for sure we would have seen this headline sooner.

If you scroll down- it appears that the 'two workers' they are referring to are those mentioned here:

MARCH 15th MSNBC Article- Two Workers Missing after Tuesday's Explosion

So- that would mean the deaths not due to radiation exposure, but from the initial blast.

I think there deaths may of had more to do with the explosion rather than the radiation. Not saying that the radiation is good though.

Once again Thank You to everyone working on the reactors. Thier selfless efforts are truely heroic actions...

Thats odd I read something else it had todays date went to it right after I seen this thread, now the title just has a red explanation mark beside it.

Whatever they died of, I think it's safe to assume it's only a matter of time before we start hearing about more deaths and illness.

More details on those two bodies found:

The bodies of two nuclear power plant workers missing since the epic March 11 earthquake have been found, an official with the plant's owner said Sunday.

The remains were found in the basement of the turbine building at the No. 4 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, an official with the Tokyo Electric Power Company told reporters Sunday.

They were working there when the 9.0-magnitude quake and subsequent tsunami hit, causing damage throughout northeast Japan including to the power plant, which is on Japan's eastern coast about 240 kilometers (150 miles) north of Tokyo.

One of the workers was found floating in a pool of water in the basement, the utilty company official said. Both appeared to have suffered multiple traumatic injuries and severe blood loss.

The bodies were found Wednesday, but the power company didn't disclose the news until late Sunday morning.

Its weird they say they went missing on march 11 but they were only found on wednesday im assuming last week, there was no date in the article. That means that before wednesday no one had gone down there ? If they found him floating in a pool of water then his body wasnt under any rubble or hidden so someone would have found them sooner.

Calling disinfo here makes you look childish and silly.

Or do you not understand the nature of breaking news?

Firstly, I was being facetious...
Second- had I been serious, the OP/thread title implied that it was due to radiation poisoning.

Calm down killer....
like I said-
I WAS BEING FACETIOUS:

1
: joking or jesting often inappropriately : waggish
2

Calm as can be, 'turbo'. Nothing about your comment came off as facetious, and you then backed it up by saying the title it implied something that it did not.

Not my entire post- just the "deconstructing disinfo" comment
And if you read some of the other replies, you'll see that I was not the only one who made that inference.
....Or maybe it is just me?....
Seeing that I hadn't heard about the two missing workers before, with a headline that says "Two Fukushima nuclear workers found dead..." I think it's reasonable to infer that it has to do with the radiation.
Didn't mean to step on anyones toes so sorry if I offended.

This just proves that the radiation must have been bad enough, after the explosion, that nobody went into the basement in #4.
