I see what you mean. But I'm still not crazy about finding them in my couch and bed.

I've yet to find them in my bed, but I've seen plenty crawling across the kitchen counter, or on the sink, like I said. That seems to be where they prefer, at least in this house. And I'm not talking swarms, either, only a few. But I have seen swarms in peoples' windows, right outside their AC unit or wherever they can try to wedge themselves to get out from the cold.

I saw a show on Nat Geo these people had a bed bug(relative of stink bugs) infestation and spent thousands to get rid of them,when nothing worked they were then told the only thing that would kill them was high heat.They had a company come in and blow excessive heat into their house(I believe they said 120degrees)for a few hours and that took care of the problem.I'm thinking maybe you could try that with your own thermostat by turning the heat up in the summer to kill these unwanted pests,anyways maybe this will help some people and hopefully save them time and money and pray they don't hit the Carolinas!

There is one perched on my laptop right now.. They showed up here in fall when the red and black beetles (maybe the box beetles) normally do but for some reason these have stuck around (though in less extreme numbers) for months.
