Freemasons - Your not a Secret Society, so why are you still here ?

Well, with the emergance of yet another Questions and Answers thread regarding Freemasons in the Secret Societies Forum, it begs the question - why are they still here ?

They are not a Secret Society, they simply have layers of secrecy within their own structure, and even these layers have been eroded over the last 50 years or so.

They are simply using the "Aura" of secrecy to create attraction, a well known feature of human nature, and as we all know secrecy within groups has been used by men to raise themselves above others since the dawn of time, a perception created for their own vanity in most cases.

So, can we please remove the Masonic Symbol from Secret Societies.

And then just give Freemasons their own Forum, for whatever purpose they see fit.

Give them a Forum entitled "Freemasons, drop by, Have a chat, seek wisdom, join if you fancy"

Because quite frankly this is turning into a farce.


There is a strong possibility that this will get dumped in Rant because it contains no conspiracy, note the blatent double standards here as Question and Answer threads regarding Freemasons are allowed to continue.

So here is my Conspiricay -

There is a very real, and very blatent conspiracy here on ATS to use the Secret Societies Forum for the promotion of Freemasons, carried out by the large number of Freemasons active on ATS.

Its Not a secret society, Its a Society with secrets (that should be obvious to anyone with more than half a brain cell) , Get your facts straight, stop attention seeking , then get back to us.

I would like to agree with this notification of the Freemason claims here on ATS there is a lot and to me its a conspiracy period!!!

They are very much a secret society.

A secret society is classified as an organization whos activities and inner functions are concealed from non members.

Regardless of any evidence thats came out showing behind the scenes or inner workings of Masons or how much knowledge is in the public domain, they are still very much a secret society.

I agree totally with your statment. But I do think they are of such importance that they need there own Forums!!!!

The Freemasons are really not a "Secret Society". Most of their works are open to the public. I don't really think you can consider them secret when they operate the largest children's hospital in the world, every lodge is publicly known and we have jewelry, hats, shirts, bumper stickers, licenses plates and a plethora of other items to show we are Masons. They also donate large sums of money to charity and it is all on the records. The only thing secret are some of the rituals.

Secondly, if Masons are using the forums to recruit then they are not real Masons and they should take another look at themselves. The rule simply is "Ask one to be one" not "Recruit one to have more".

This is my first post. I have been lurking for a while. So Hello ATS!

Yeah that would be cool, but then again the only reason they post on the "other" forums is to tell people how wrong they actually are about masons, They have as much right to defend what they belive in as any other person.
They dont try to recruit, this is fundementally wrong in most lodges and they certainly dont mean to harm Anyone

Well, as stated in your thread yesterday about Masons as well.
I am a Mason and i guess you guys just got our number.
So just don't join and deal with us and our ways.
I live in the US so i can do this.
I hear the Moose lodge are some good guys as well and theyr'e not so secretive, try them.

When people stop talking about us, most of us will be gone. As long as there's a desire to speculate on Freemasonry, there is an inherent need for us; otherwise, the site motto is useless.

The illuminati is made up of 13 bloodlines and yes they are all white. Im not saying that every white person does not believe that we are all one but these family bloodlines do not want us to begin to realize that we are all one because they know we will all unite and go against them.

I came to ATS in 2009 after many months of lurking...... I was interested in all of the threads not just the ones only in secret society. I knew I was bound to be a mason before I even lurked here on ATS.

I was pretty surprised to see so many idiots who were spreading such misinformation and you pretty much have no choice but to try to tell people the truth. Considering most nonsense here are direct attacks on freemasons, it is almost if the posters are personally attacking us. If we all the sudden decided to stop posting it would just be a cesspool of wrong information that builds up here on ATS. And that is not what ATS is about. Deny Ignorance...

Every once in a while there is a good thread with a valid possible theory or possibility that engages questions. Most threads however fall short of any intellectual offering and are the mundane and repetitive anti-masonic garbage you find on youtube.

If there is a conspiracy and you have a theory then you should be able to stand toe to toe with Masons and defend your positions in a well thought out debate.

It is very depressing to see Freemasons spending their whole lives in secret societies forums on numerous conspiracy websites like ATS, and trying hard to defend freemasonry. They can't even realize that anything said on conspiracy websites like these, against freemasonry does not affects the image of freemasonry in anyway, normal individuals of society do not seek info about freemasonry from conspiracy websites. And nobody cares what conspiracy theorists say in public. So, I don't think so Freemasons should even worry about what is being said on various conspiracy websites like ATS.

One mason on ATS recently said, Freemasons are instructed in first degrees to handle accusations, but he failed to notice the reason why such instructions are even given, where does it adds up in teachings of morality. The point is their is no need to be acquainted with the morality, everyone knows what is right and what is wrong. Freemasonry is only using and abusing Freemasons.

Freemasons, you are not gaining moral values but losing them in masonic lodges. Take control of your minds and break free from your slave masters, you don't need to become better. You are the best, realize it and you will be free instantly.
