right? Mandy Moore is pretty much the only pop singer who didn't go total SLUT on her 18th birthday. I don't know if it's just pressure from record execs (you wanna sell records right? then take your shirt off), or something more sinister as the OP is suggesting.
As far as this song in particular, either this is one of the last big pushes before disclosure, or Katy Perry's songwriter spends too much time here on ATS and thinks its funny to fcuk with people's beliefs. seriously though, when they write pop songs like this, the idea is to get as many people to buy it as possible. that means looking into trends, what's hot, what's selling. Lots of alien movies, books, shows, docs, etc right now. Alex Jones and COAST are bigger than ever. Ventura gets his own show and goes on the view. Is it such a stretch to think that somebody in the industry noticed this and was inspired to use that theme to write what is, essentially, the same old love song? "Boy, they don't think we're right for each other, but I do. Now kiss me, damn you." That's the basic plot of the song. The alien stuff is most likely just in there because Katy Perry or her songwriter like aliens, or the sci-fi/conspiracy trend got noticed.
It's easy to jump to conclusions when an entire industry sells you lies and fantasies. It's hard to tell what's really going on behind the scenes, but trust me; at the end of the day they just want your money. They already got the song stuck in your head, and I just heard it for the first time, so it looks like its working!

that's because people are worried. culture is not chosen by a small board meeting in a shadowy room filled with cigar smoke. Culture isn't a weapon used to condition us to the next big change. If it was, you could point to a time in history when cultural trends and mass media predicted epic level events. and you can't. culture is born, and it's born when you take out your wallet and vote with your dollars. Whatever's popular survives, whatever isn't dies. Now, more so than at any time in recent memory, more people are freaking out about more things. Xtians are turning to Revelations, New Agers are turning toward the changing of the Ages, and ufo enthusiasts are turning to disclosure and invasion. We all feel like "something big is about to happen" as George Noory puts it, and it comes out in funny ways. I would compare it to animals running away before an earthquake; they don't know why they're running, they just know they have to. We may not understand why all of the apocalyptic, world-altering themes are cropping across popular culture, but we should definitely pay attention.

There is info out on the web about the next phase of "their plan" called disclosure. That is of aliens of course. Someting big is brewing because even the mainstream media is reporting on alien mumbo jumbo.
There are those who are have their eyes and ears attentive to what is really being said, those who are sensing something is up and looking around, and there are those who have no clue and just go on about their way.
It takes skill to figure out "their" lingo, codes, messages hidden in plain sight.

I definately believe that there is something to this video. They're constantly trying to get us psychologically ready for some "alien" encounter of some sort. TPTB want us to accept that whole "humans come from alien dna" theory in order to discredit the existence of god. whether god is a man in a cloud, or just a force. He/she or "it" exists. dont let this alien psyop bull# make you believe any different. The exact same principle is illustrated in a videogame called "mass effect" in which the main character finds out that the seeds of civilization were deliberately planted by an advanced race of machines. I love this song and video! She looks great and I like the costume's and hair and makeup its very creative. Its nice not to see the same music video over and over. They're making a comeback.

Although I did not like her in animal legs. I could do without that image.

I do not like Kanye West as a person, his attitude needs adjusting but....
this song is just Epic IMO. My favorite is 3:00 on and Kanye kills it at 3:30 !!!
