What everyone should keep in mind here is the actual amount that is being spread around; I know that video looks freakin' scary if you just think "OH God, look at that. That's it. We're dead." but you have to think about the numbers, too. Yes, there has been traces of radiation found in various parts of the U.S., but to the best of my knowledge, it's only, barely above the background level of radiation. Please correct me if I am wrong on that part.

I'm well aware of what these are, but how do they relate to the subject of the thread? Radiation fallout would be a TERRIBLE way to cull to population, IMHO. It's like something biological-they people who "make" it are NOT immune.

I do not know so do not criticize me for what I say. I say nothing. Rather, I am just asking.
So looking at the graph I see I will not be exposed to that part of the cloud that is dark brown (max) so I am assuming I will not be dosed to the point where I am hospitalized and given three weeks to live. That is good.
But the second or third level...how safe if that?
Will my chances of dying of cancer by age 35 increase dramatically?
Will my chances of producing malformed children increase dramatically?
Will that minimum dosage in those clouds drop via rain into the food growing below so that as long as I eat I tend to increase the dosage? Will it travel via rain into the ground water, then the grass, then the cattle that eat the grass, then the people that eat the cattle? Or the fish, or the grains growing and absorbing that contaminated ground water.
No chance it will get into our milk and poison our children, right?
No chance the entire food chain will be contaminated, right?

But you say I will not die in the next three weeks so everything is O.K.
All right then. Nothing to worry about. Moving on...............

It does look frightening at first, but if you pay attention to the colors in the release & compare it to the chart at the bottom, it seems to be about middle of the road. That doesn't mean they're being 100% honest though either.

There's been above normal radioactivity measured in the rainfall in my neck of the woods. And we are just about at the end of a 24hr snow, rain & sleet storm over here too. I'll let you know if my hair starts falling out.

Yes for sure but have you got vast networks of underground bunkers and stores of food and natural non gm seeds.
I was replying to what had been raised about population reduction wether this way or that this is the plan.
Why did they build the reactors there anyway - on the most geological active part of the globe and bedrock you can crumble in your hands - Perhaops not the final solution but another step toward that - Focus on the fallout but this is just the begining of something bigger for Nature has shown who is master or mistress and who is the fool - The tsunami was utterly terrible and we could blame thet on nature yet the bigger problem is man made stupidity Nucluer Power. Yes the NWO Plan is mass population reduction - I am mereley pointing to the bigger picture

I have had Nucleur fallout sickness after the fallout cloud passed over my home town then - You will know - You get very sick - The fallout of heavier elements has fallen into the Pacific but these reactors are still spewing out their poison it will encircle the world but it is the levels which are in question. Even if this does not wipe us all out which I doubt it will - will we still continue to build mor of these death plants - The Green Party wants to - what a joke governments and corporations have become - so what you gonna do about it . A few weeks after Chernobyl it was old news the msm are playing this event that way.

They won't even have to stay long in their bunkers.

They are hiding, or will be hiding shortly; because they know what's coming. TPTB. They are irradiating the globe just long enough to destroy our genes, to weaken us, but not enough to stay around for a long time; and they will just come back out, things are good, go about your lives.

But then there is this:

Jacquelyn Yanch, professor of nuclear engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said background levels vary quite a bit around the world, and that the levels seen now in Japan are comparable to the natural levels seen in some parts of China, India and Brazil.
"The radiation levels to the public [in Japan] are relatively low, they are certainly higher than background, but people live at these levels around the world," Yanch said. "We don't have any data that show that living in these areas increases your chance of getting cancer or shortens your life."

But then there is this:

"There is the potential for bioaccumulation for some of these radionuclides through the food chain," he said, which occurs when chemicals collect in the tissue of organisms, such as fish, increasing the concentration of that chemical.
The two contaminants scientists are watching most closely in this crisis are Iodine 131, which dissipates quickly and has a half life of eight days, and cesium-137, which has a half-life of about 30 years.

The thing is, these aren't the only two contaminates that are being released. EVERYTHING that passes through the area affected by the melted pool of nuclear fuel (corium) becomes irradiated. There is an tremendous amount of thermal energy in the area creating an enormous updraft which is accompanied by an equal amount of air rushing into the area further spreading the contamination. It's like an aerosol can stuck in the spray position.

Not to mention the TONS of seawater (along with the salt and other impurities contained within) that have been flushed through the system and out to sea. Why else has the offshore reading increased steadily?

Each of those radioactive isotopes have their own individual half-life and affect on human metabolism.

Panic time?

But I, and probably most people here, are quite concerned and no one really knows what the long-term effect will be. We're making this up as we go because nothing like it has ever happened. No comparison possible to Chernobyl, that was one reactor. This is 6 along with 40 years of spent fuel.

I know, I know,. They've only had explosions at 3 of the plants, but you don't think that #5 & #6 are 100% healthy do you? They've got NO POWER in the area except for what can be provided by portable generators. They've still got to stop the release of even more contamination, which has yet to happen.

We're a LONG WAY from being done with this and it hasn't turned around yet.

It may be the manner in which you are trying to tell them.

Things are uncertain, that is true. Preparation and knowledge will help alleviate fear to a degree you might be surprised to find.

Direct people to these discussions, leave comments on news websties of the same type and caliber as you would find here, quoting sources, learn all you can for yourself and put some of the pieces together. Ask for help if some of them are unclear. You will find a very broad knowledge base here and people more than willing to answer questions or point you in the direction to which answers may reveal themselves to you.

According to the video, the entire world is covered by a very tiny harmless amount. Why are you not buying that, exactly? The only alternative is that it's much worse than this incredibly tame scenario.

Good Point - so far it seems we are not getting boom your dead doses but surely we must do something to stop furher such events - Man Alive they must think we are all so dumb - but we are not and these ways of stupidity need addressing not covering up

Actually, I think it's apathy they count on more than dumbness. Though the two do seem to go hand in hand.
