Mt Hood TDH.UW..EHZ.2011.090

No idea as to why this should be.

Anyone using GEE getting the same?

Just checked that myself. All servers attaching to GEE are down.

OK, just to make a monkey out of me some of them are beginning to come back on line again.

Sismic Union break time.
Will attempt to delve into the situation. Not that there's any activity ,just missing the readings. Something someone doesn'y want us to see?

Maybe. I thought Cali might have departed the coast of the US and they were trying to hide it

As you say, fairly quiet.

Thailand is working. I only checked 3 of them. Yellowstone stopped around 17:00 and one other place stopped at 15:00.

This site is working

Yes the earthquakes seem to be coming through but the seismograms are not.

Very odd. I have never seen all of them go at once, which was the case when I first spotted it. Some coming back now, but some coming back with a big break in data.

This might just be regular equipment maintenance or calibration, thus a large number of sensors in the network going down at once. Usually they take them off the network to ensure they are calibrated correctly, which might be why they all went offline at the same time.

Yes I know LISS is up. I was checking something on LISS on the LHZ channel when I found the data break on all the quackquery seismograms.

I am thinking it is a server problem and maybe the cache has data up to 15:00 or thereabouts.

I have been aware of this all day and have emails with someone inside trying to fix it. Most of it is back up now but there are still some connect issues.

Still many of them either not showing later data or showing very large gaps.

The thing that struck me was that when I looked every single one I clicked on stopped during the afternoon. I have never seen that before - not all of them that I have in my list which is over 100.

lol, when I see the whole thing go down as I watched it happen this morning, the alarmist in me wants to yell, but that didn't work out so great last time.

Instead I just emailed my contact, he got on it, and no alarm needed.

I even posted about it in the GEE status thread:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Hehe, I was even contemplating thread titles:
"If Something BIG was gonna happen, NOW would be a good time."
"World is blind to earthquakes."
"Apocalypse in Progress."
"We're Screwed."
