I declare him as the future King of future one world governement under the political regime of Idıocracy. All Americans should vote for him, only for this brilliant expression of him: "I have two grandchildren -- Maggie is 11, Robert is 9. I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they're my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American."

I think he's saying that first it will become secular, then eventually overcome by Islam. Kind of like Europe, where most people wear a badge of religion but deny its truth and Islam is gaining steam.

Newt is absolutely an idiot. We already knew that. But this? OMG, I would only expect a statement like that from owebowma if the writer for the teleprompter made a mistake.

That could happen.

Couple not paying attention with political correctness and the next thing you know a sort of Hitler is running the country because nobody thought it could happen while simultaneously enabling and encouraging it to happen in the name of diversity.

Aren't you describing 2008? The repuklicans helped by submitting McCain and Palin as candidates, but otherwise the situation fits. As a result we are well on our way to dictatorship.

Yeah, nothing like Europe! No way! You people are so smart that you can deny God all the while running headlong into the new Caliphate! No way! American Liberals (read blind socialist/ communist) are way too damn smart to ever let that happen as you denounce fascism and craft fascist policy to control the lives of the masses!

No WAY! Ask the UK (or France or Belgium, etc) how crazy it sounds for a bunch of short sighted- I mean brilliant societal craftsmen to deny God to their people but allow immigration en-mass (by a load of third world folks with NOTHING in common except the need for someone to tell them how to lead their lives) to reconnoiter their precious world view!

Never! No way José!

Looking at the cross section of history and matching it to today's circumstance is soooo stupid! What a lame brain...

Really? So, how many PhDs do you have? Speaking of idiots. By the way, I took a course from him at West Georgia College and he is far from an idiot. His quick mind and wide ranging knowledge and interests made what could have been a boring class into something interesting.

The process I'm thinking of takes much more time than one or two or even four or five election cycles.

It would take several generations of training, desensitization, guilt, and complacence.

It is happening here. Has been since the early 1900's and if you look back to your parents, grandparents and great grandparents you can actually track the changes in society and plot the next logical movement.

Is it a masterminded path? Is it a natural path? Is it some side effect of living in a forced collective? I dont know. I just know it happens and it goes way beyond partisan politics. In fact partisan politics, politics in general, are just one symptom of this phenomenon. A particularly heinous one for sure as it serves the role of a sort of black hole where it's very existence feeds it's strength.

It looks to me that all throughout history whenever people grant authority to any other people or group or entity the end result is always a dictatorship. Authoritarianism is just one cycle of tyranny and revolt over and over.

Do we have to go down the list of all the stupid democrats in office right now, I am sure nobody here, ever had any words come out wrong? We all can't have a teleprompter on hand 24/7 so all our words come out crisp, clear, and uninspiring.

Do you honestly consider have a PhD a sign of not being an idiot? Maybe you feel the same about those with a law degree? Degrees don't mean much, some of the "smartest" people I have ever known have been the biggest idiots. I am curious though, did you take that course for which he got the ethics violation? You know, the one concerning the use of a tax exempt college course for political purposes? Did you take that one?
As for my evidence of him being an "idiot", I submit the ethics charges that he plead to; and his temper tantrum at the breakfast with reporters in Washington, where he expressed dissatisfaction with Clinton not inviting him to discuss the budget during the flight, as well as being instructed to use the plane's rear exit. However his biggest act of idiocy, imo, was attempting to impeach Clinton for having sex with Lewinsky. I do not like Clinton, but that was a dumb move and cost the repuklicans dearly at the polls. So, idiot? or not? It is at least a debatable point, unlike owebowma where his idiocy is completely obvious.

The impeachment was for perjury.

It was stupid. A grand waste of time and money.

However no less than Clinton trying to save his image with "depends on the meaning of the word 'is'" nonsense.

Grow out of your partisan bubble for your own sake.

I don't disagree. Which partisan bubble am I in? You do get that I blast both repuklicans and demonkrats, right?
As I stated, I am no fan of the clintonistas. I left the service in the 1990's because I would not serve under him. However impeaching him for sex with the lewinski twit(ok for lying about sex with her) was a stupid stunt and only an idiot would have pursued it.

Seems like Newt, and the Republican party, want to shut down the U.S. federal government again.

They also want to deny funding to PBS and NPR. Almost the same attempt as before, when Newt Gingrirch, had investments with cable TV wire companies back in the 90's.

Just take one look at Newt Gingrich: Do you really trust this man, as being a U.S. president?
Homie don't think so.

Newt, just recently blamed his extramartial love affairs on his love of patriotism and his faith in God.

Certainly ain't my God, thank God.

That is a good thing imo. Get people's attention maybe some will actually wake up.

Please explain where in the Constitution it says the government should fund "media outlets".

Do I want him? No. Could he be worse than owebowmer?

6 stars each for the dumbest posts on the thread. Maybe I can think of an asinine title to give you people...I definitely can in fact, trying to narrow one down is the hard part.

If I could send half the assclowns in America to China, a place they're policy would make here, I'd send all of you half way.

Why are people so interested in what these old senile washed up douchebags have to say about anything? This guy already has his day in the sun - no reason to continue to listen to his crap. I'm more interested in what a younger person has to say, instead of some old smelly fart who has been reduced to wearing diapers.
