You know there is a point where peoples skepticism gets old, does everything have to be proven 80 different ways come Sunday? Yes, his work has not been accepted by mainstream science, Yes he does have proof that Water can be affected by thought. If there is even the slightest chance that it works, why condemn the idea?

You nay-sayers are entitled to your beliefs just as much as those of us who fully believe (and know) that our prayers/love will help our Mother Earth and all her components recover from whatever might happen. We are her children. Our love is her best medicine, just as hers is ours.
Although you are entitled to those beliefs, you do not know all there is to know about nature. You cannot say that this will or will not work. You cannot say anything with certainty. But you believe you can. So do we. Leave us to our beliefs. We do not wish to be in your state of belief. There are other threads where you can voice your views without attempting to disrupt our intent.

By praying, what have you got to lose? Seriously? Are all you psuedo-skeptics afraid of losing 30 seconds of your life?

Be cynical and mock the idea or do something.
At least prayer is the one thing we can all do.
Research Emoto's work, it's sounds like quack science I know but he's repeated experiments on water many, many times and found that our thought waves do indeed affect the water.
The human body is 70% water. Even the most cynical among us should be thankful for that water!
What are you talking about? Thankful for the water in our body?...wth does that have to do with anything?
This site just cracks me up.edit on 31-3-2011 by dude69 because: (no reason given)
Because without that 70%, you'd be 30% dust and bones. Try a little reading comprehension before making yourself look silly.

entry from wikipedia: "In Anglicanism, Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Lutheranism, Oriental Orthodoxy, and some other churches, holy water is water which has been sanctified by a priest for the purpose of baptism, the blessing of persons, places, and objects; or as a means of repelling evil.[1][2]
The first use of holy water, i.e. for baptism and spiritual cleansing, is common among several religions, from Christianity to Sikhism and Hinduism."

What most of us do not readily understand is that we constantly command the energy of God available to us and we do not even know we are doing it. Every time you say "I Am...." expect to at least partially preciptate that which follows that statement. Mankind do not realize just how much they are qualifying the energy given to them by God through their emotions, thoughts, and speech.

Thank you for your positive efforts.
What is there to discuss anymore after you called me a rebellious idolater?
That's when I chose to bow out and tried to do it as graciously as I could.
I'm done discussing this with you and all the other naysayers, seculars, people who troll to ridicule.
I am done with you on this thread. Period.
In addition you have now called me aggressive and not mature
I thought getting out of a fight was the calm way. People have been criticising through the whole thread. It just gets to be tiresome. I just didnt feel like arguing it anymore. Perhaps another time I will feel more refreshed and ready to go into debate.
so, basically, water becomes "holy" because a group of people who make unproven claims about their special relation with whatever imaginary friend - let's call them "priests" (yuck, that felt bad, living in a country where priests are known to be interested in raping young children) say so?
I simply responded to your post about praying for water nd saying, while i appreciate the sentiment, i dont think it is proper to direct prayers to water, but to the creator of water
