Why Do These Breathtaking Russian Images of Earth Look So Different from NASA’s?

According to Nasa :

Elektro-L is a Russian Satellite similar to GOES (the satellites that provide the cloud image loops shown on the news every night). The images posted by Gizmodo are a combination of visible and near-infrared wavelengths, so they show the Earth in a way not visible to human eyes (vegetation looks red, for example). They're not any better or worse than NASA images, but they show different things.

Other than size, these images look very much alike to me.

Or the differance is so small I am unable to see it.

Cheers

One is taken at a lower altitude at an angle. They're both good pics. What conspiracy are you implying here?

The Russian photo is of Egypt from the position of the Red Sea in the photo if I am not mistaken or Saudi Arabia the other way and the NASA image is of the entire Earth with a portion of the Red Sea and Egypt visible. Apples and Oranges that is why they look different.

Because they both are processed first by the real EA space program and fed to the known space agencies afterwards like that to see if the global populace is paying attention or just going ahead with everything in sleep mode....

it looks as if one of the pics was dropped down to a color pixel of 256 as where the other looks 16bit

i can add the same effect in any photo software that lets you change quality.... still cool pics though

I'm seriously lmao at these comments.

I'm wondering how many of you are trolling, or have some serious mental issue. I'm not trying to troll as negative as it may sound, its seriously worrying.

But as others have pointed out, the answer is in the OP.

All that being said, I'm going with its because the Russians don't airbrush out UFO's and alien base's like NASA.

Im not sure what you are getting at. Is NASA trying to cover up secret moon bases on earth? Or earth is really a giant UFO?

Camera/lens made in Russia vs. one made in China. Is this a conspiracy attempt? I cant tell...
