are you kidding me? A cycle and I mean "A" cycle may end in October.... it doesn't mean the Mayans were incorrect in the foretelling of something happening in 2012.

2012 is way too significant. it correlates with the number 13.

next month would be a 13th month... but it goes back to January....

You have a good point but...are you saying the human race will cease to exist in 2013? Or that we will finish a "cycle" in 2013? But that's only 365 days... 52.177457 weeks...12 months...8,765.81277 hours....31,556,926 seconds... It doesn't seem that much of a difference

We could use some men of wisdom, and hopefully they got some big guns to get these men of foolishness out of here. And if a big planet or brown dwarf comes by, they better let us see it. I am unconvinced by your argument. Consider the "leap year" and how a day has been added every four years. If you look at that over time it is a discrepancy of about 500 days. It means every four years we have added days that do not exist. Therefore, what we believe is going to happen in December 2012 will happen in 2011.

WE ARE ALREADY IN THE YEAR 2012!!!!

2011 2012 i don't think it matters... if something does happen we are either going to die or survive... i have not tried to prepare for any event... i just believe i'm meant to survive no matter what ever happens... i just try to enjoy each crazy moment with my kids... i do think something will happen tho... and i'm just glad i don't work for some soulless corporation... so if its is this oct or next dec... how many of ya'll are still slaving away and actually think something is going to happen?
