At this point, I'm more inclined to think it will be a "coalition of the willing" "protecting" Palestine from Israel. Libya looks more and more
like a test bed to see if a consensus could be developed between East and West to impose their collective will on a "rebellious" nation.
Interesting, though, that the coalition chose Libya (an oil-rich nation with an expendable ruler) instead of any of the other "rebellious" nations
that are active right now in the same area.
Make no mistake, WW3 already started. Economic and computer sabotage first, then subversion, now alliances imposing physical conditions on smaller
nation-states to collect more resources, build bases, and improve strategic and tactical positions in the region.
So far, it is only the US, Europe, and the Arab League (or at least parts of it). I have a feeling that the US and Europe are being played, though,
and Russia and China know better, which is why they are staying out of things for now. But they'll act if/when their interests are threatened, with
diplomacy first, then military.
Or maybe I just spent too much time playing Axis and Allies and Age of Empires as a kid. But I'm pretty sure I'm right.
